I still want to know what may have happened with Steely's, J's, and Rocky's protections. As it stands, J is the only person likely to be able to properly answer.

Well, I think what they are trying to get at is how you were saved. I was saved too, but we know someone else saved me with some sort of...doctor role. But you three other guys were saved by mysterious means. Do you have roles that allow such or what?

If I had to imagine, it was the actual protective role that grouped them together. Their "I-was-saved" tells are the same; a name / role card cut in half, showing the name only.

J would've told us if he had a clue why he was saved. Out of curiosity, though, were you told anything from Top about why, or what any conditions were?

I wonder if maybe instead of a protective role it is possible we have a blanket role-blocker type role? Meaning they tell Top they want to use their power and then Top decides which three activities to block?

The only reason I think that is because their death cards were sliced in half, making it seem like they were just barely spared from death. I think if it were a normal protective role, or even one at all, it would have been written more like Swiftys was.

The mass blocker role seems plausible, but I'm not sure I'm getting what you're saying. Do you mean that the person could go: I'm blocking deaths, detections and protections, or what?

Let go of it, man. Has it occurred to you that riptide might have to guess at who's going to die? And if/when he's correct, then that person gets to leave a message. If he knew who was dying, his role would be awfully overpowered.

I feel like Paidea has a Detective role with a twist. Maybe he can get information about the Mafia, but he is not allowed to talk directly about it. Depending on the verdict of whether or not the investigated person is a Villager or Mafia thereby influences how he can speak the next day.

Either way, I'm going with Steely as well.
