Oh my god... So much nostalgia... I am putting off checking my thesis one last time before sending it to my peers and thus I decided to google Runevillage. You know, just to see if there were still people talking about the good old time. I was amazed to see this place actually still exists as RV was supposed to shut down. So even though I think it's great, what's up with that?

Anything still going on here? Being back here brings back so many memories... I loved it here. Spent a great deal of time on RV socialising, editing guides and messing around. Big part of my childhood right here. Have things been saved? Like the archives forum or all the content that was on the RV site like guides and such?

I wonder who's still around here...

When was it supposed to shut down? Ever since Jackstick's original post about RV's situation, it was always my plan to simply move RV to a server I already owned (and thus we'd never need donations again.) Whether that would actually succeed or not was up in the air for a long time, but I think we figured it out!

There's still a fair amount of us that check the forums pretty much daily, even if not a lot happens. The original main site, unfortunately, is lost, but ever since Jagex forced us to remove our RuneScape guides or whatever, our content was basically lost to the ages anyway. On a personal note, I intend to go through the original RV Library fan stories and post them all in a Literary Society subforum, sometime before the end of the year hopefully. So that and the forums are basically the two parts of RuneVillage that will live on indefinitely.

It's good to see you Ultragast. I'll be submitting a thesis of my own in half a year's time, I think...

Ohh Jaron I didn't know Jagex forced us to delete the guides and such. :O And I also didn't know you were always planning on conserving RV this way! But then, I was already inactive back then...

Market man, it's about voluntary police officers and whether or not they can help make the capital city of my province safer. I study Safety & Security and am almost done. Once I'm done with my education I'm planning on travelling south-east Asia for a bit and then I hope to land a position in a local government.

And good luck with the job. If government doesn't pan out, there is big demand in the private sector for safety and security personnel.
