Hello Villagers,

It has come time for me to step down as one of the admins here. This is not a decision I have come to make that was easy, or even quick. I had intentions of stepping down around the end of September but then we had "issues" with the site. As a senior member here, I decided to stay and help stabilize the community.

I very strongly feel that the community is once again stable and advancing forward. We have a very good group of mods, admins, staff, etc here that will continue to lead this place down the right path. While we may not grow to what we once were, progress is the name of the game. If we stay at a standstill, there is no hope. I urge you all to continue to give your support from the bottom up and keep this place alive.

Even though I am stepping down as an admin, I am not leaving the Village. This has been my home for nearly a decade and it shall remain that. My activity lately has been waning due to many things. My career has been picking up very quickly, much more so than I previously expected. I'm being placed ahead of others who have more experience and time as nurses for more critical patients and assignments. This is not only taxing mentally, but physically. I cannot allow myself to endanger patients and myself with lack of sleep. This doesn't go for RuneVillage, but for many aspects of my life. I've really cut back on my gaming, coin collecting, and even my aquariums (down to TWO!!!!!).

Currently we are having our house completely remodeled (everything short of taking down the dry wall). So my Internet connection and sleep is spotty at best. No matter how tired one is, 12lb sledge hammers don't allow you to sleep. This will continue for another two to three months.......lamezorz.

Also thinking about starting the whole "family" deal here soon. So.....bleh.......damn money pits...... :lmao:

So there it is. I'll be around. Don't be afraid to PM me for any problems or questions as you always have with anything (Kik, never heard back from you on that dime or Omega on that aquarium? f00lz).

Thanks for all you have done as an Administrator, Burks. I can't pretend to know everything you've accomplished here, but it is appreciated.

Say it ain't so! =O

Thanks for all you've done for RV over the years, Burks. :) I'm fairly certain I'm not alone in being grateful to you for working so hard to "stabilize" things those short months ago, in addition to everything else. Good luck with your job and family, Mr. Non-debauche Mod. :P

I haven't summoned up the courage to actually send it out for checking. After all, I'd also have no clue how or where to sell it if it does turn out to be the genuine article. :p

Good luck getting through life. Hopefully it settles down a bit for you within the three months--a sledgehammer can at least help you take a bit of stress off, after all. :3

Can't say I didn't see this coming. It's been a joy to be on a team with you. You and I seemed to agree on a lot of things. I'm glad you won't be leaving us for good! Hopefully life will settle down for you a little bit soon. Take care, and get some sleep. (Rent a hotel room for a day if you have to. ;))

You'll be senior Murse Burks?? Sounds good 8)

Thank you for all the time and effort you have put in to the village over a long period of time and good to see that you will stick around. Hopefully you do a better job of staying active than I am doing..

Enjoy the challenges that lie ahead.
