Before you flame me by saying “he hasn’t left at all!”, let me assure you I have. I’ve made myself a vow I am not coming back to RV until at least after my 2 year anniversary, that’s if I come back at all.

So, let me start off by saying this in plain, bog-standard English. I’m a raving idiot. There is no other way of putting it. I did something very bloody stupid and there’s no other way of saying it. Well, there is, but that’s against RV rules.

For those people I offended (particularly you, Gamestar), I’m terribly sorry. There’s screwing up, and then there’s that. I understand I’m not the only person in this world who has real-life problems, but sometimes it all bubbles out. You see, as a guy who hasn’t ever had anyone to talk to, it all wells up inside and then comes out in episodes like that, and the previous million times it’s happened. But I realise that that last time was the final straw. So here’s a more, gentle, farewell.

I’m taking a break. Don’t know for how long, but I’m probably not coming back for a few months.

There’s a few people I want to apologise in person to though:
Gamestar: You’re a great guy and a real credit to the village. 5 of you and I would own the internet. I’m sorry I upset you the other day, and I hope you forgive me for that. You’re a great mate and I appreciate what you do for the village. Cheers.
Dunut: You’re a great guy too, I’m sorry I dropped so low and I hope you forgive me too. Maybe not now, but maybe in the future. Let me know when you get Admin
H K, Gamey and Richard: I’m as bad a you, I havn’t done anything for MSp for ages so it was a pretty hypocritical comment. Sorry.
Dr H: You’re a good mate. At least I didn’t forget you this time.

For the rest of the Village, and those who I may have offended with my post (This is excluding those who were glad for me to leave, and you know who you are): I’m sorry, I’m sorry for being an idiot. I know a lot of you won’t be able to forgive me for what I’ve done, but please, please, accept my apology.

Since King's previous topic was a flame-magnet, I'm going to give post one little guideline in here...

King is apologizing for his actions, whether or not you accept his apology is your own business. If you want to post something nice, feel free to. If you want to post something " ", feel free to. Questions? Ask away. But any posts with degrading, sarcastic content will be deleted and you may be punished.

We always say that although RV might not be the biggest best fansite out there, we certainly have a great community, and quite possibly the best of the RS fansites. This is an opportunity to prove that.

Having a tantrum and apologising doesn't fix everything, I think you'll find it a long time til you are forgiven, if at all.

You have plenty of time to read and review your post before you click the submit button, you basically made a topic like all your other leaving ones, then when you didn't get the replies you expected begging you to stay that most leaving topics turn into you felt you had to get back at Runevillage by creating tension between the two sites.

I'm pretty good at reading people, what I'm seeing here is someone trying to excuse the mistakes they make in their life by blaming it on their real life problems, we all have problems dude, I have plenty, but that doesn't make me slate the site that I love and hurt the people that I know. With maturity comes the ability to seperate different parts of your life, just imagine if this had happened at your job, you would probably have been fired now, exercising self control and thinking before you do is one of the keys to a happy and successful life. Another part of growing up is to take responsibility for your own actions and not covering them up with excuses, people screw up, you will be respected much more for owning up like a man than hiding behind a blanket of excuses.

I hope you have learnt a lesson from all of this, we just have to hope that the damage you have done to your reputation here isn't permanant.

But seriously, it takes years to get your reputation back to anywhere near presentable.

Trust me, Im the master at this. Sarah has made good points, we all have crap lives, but that doesn't give us the freedom to take it out on other people here. Take it from someone who has done it too a superlative degree..

Theres still people here who dont like or trust me for what I did, and that was what, year and a half go.

Well, King. I'm not going to lie, that's pretty impressive, and well.. your other post wasn't. As you've done before, you could have simply returned without flinching and looking back upon the repercussions, but you've risen above that, and I really respect that. Equally as honestly, I didn't expect you to do this, after being booed out and all, it takes either a brave or stupid person to come back. And don't worry, I'm leaning towards the former.

That's not to say you'll be completely forgotten by everyone, and nor do I think you expect to. But all in all, the fact that you did this is quite impressive, and a step away from the normal King. I just hope you're not giving us words; that you truly mean what you're typing, else this situation may repeat itself once more. Understand the situation in and out.

Evidently, you and Sarah aren't exactly on the best level, I may be wrong, but from what I've seen, that seems to be the case. But if you need to hear it from someone other than her: really take time to read her post. Really, really read it over. It won't only do you positive here at The Village, but it will do you a fair bit of help in real life, should you choose to follow it. There's nothing wrong with falling down, the real sin is not getting up. Get up, learn from your mistakes, make the effort to not repeat your mistakes, and walk back in here with a smile, whenever you are ready.

There will be a couple frowns and dirty looks, but needless to say - ignore those, your true friends will always be here with open arms. So come back soon, but again, make sure you've learned from this before you come back, and do it for yourself, not for us.
