So, this film came out yesterday. Who's already gone to see it?

I personally sacrificed sleep to go and see this one. No, I didn't camp until midnight, but went ahead of a night shift at work; and lets just say I thought it was wholely worth it. Maybe it's because I was a big fan of the Green Lanterns when I was younger, but this film just grabbed me and didn't let go. I loved the scenes at Ferris Aircrafts party, the training of Oa, and particularly the post-credit scene that left it open to a sequel.

Although I expected it to be a bit more popular. I arrived 15 minutes before it started and we were the first people into the cinema, followed by another 20. =/

Thoughts?

I have to wait about 2 months until we get it here, I have no idea why this is but I guess they want to encourage me pirating it before then

Which I will do as soon as a screener or R5 copy leaks anywhere

I'm glad to hear it was good though, can't wait to see it

Downloading it now, will comment back when I finish watching it!

Thanks for the review too, btw! I wasn't going to get it until I saw this.

I went in with lowered expectations because of all the negativity I had heard about the movie over the last month or so.

I have to say i enjoyed it quite a lot, really my only complaint was that it seemed like it could have used another 30 minutes to give them a bit more time to flesh out some of the small details. Really though it is tied with Thor for second best comic book movie I have seen this summer.

So I just finished watching it, and I found it to be excellent!! Great film all around! Would definitely recommend it to anybody who is a comic book made to a movie fan, and even if you aren't, its still a good watch.

Good action, some comedy, romance. It didn't seem to lack anything, but as Scar had said, it could definitely used some more time to hammer out some finer details/story/plot etc. but all in all great.

Recommend anybody that gets the chance to give it a go!

I really didn't like it. I thought it was the most cliche superhero movie I've ever seen, and I really like the Green Lantern.

The training scene was just a joke. Mastered the ring in, what, two scenes? For a great, serene, powerful entity, they sure seem like a Three Stooges crew (the slap on the back with the "can I train 'em?" line at the end was particularly hilarious). The only good thing of the film was the CGI on Paralax; that actually looked creepy.

I give it 1.5 stars out of 4, because Ryan Reynolds is a hunk.

I saw it not long after it had came out. I enjoyed seeing it, but I really don't have any desire to see it again. Not bad, not great.
