Walked into a theater and bought a ticket to see a movie you've never heard of? I think I would enjoy some movies a lot more if I did that, these days trailers and commercials like to pack all the good parts of a movie in a 1-2min clip, and sometimes even reveal the entire plot leaving only a few things out, which makes it kind of hard to enjoy the movie as something new (for example, the trailer for Brothers. I would have watched the movie if the trailer didn't spoil freaking EVERYTHING). Do you ever get annoyed when a trailer blatantly spoils something or reveals most of the plot? Or when you see the commercial for a comedy film a thousand times, making the jokes less and less funny each time? (Example: Dinner for Schmucks)

I've thought about doing this, but thinking about it if i look at my cinema listings at the moment just from casual television watching i've seen every trailer out at the moment. Including some (the expendables etc) that are coming out in the next month or so.

I would have to become a hermit for this to work, but it would be fun

As stated above, a trailer can determine a movie's success.

It would be interesting to walk into a film I'd never heard of... But if it's something I hate, then the overpriced cinema prices will rage me.

Yep, I've only done it once actually, and the I loved the film I ended up seeing (The Men Who Stare At Goats) - I just thought "Weird name, I like weird" and decided to see it, had no clue what it could possibly be about.

I do indeed hate when trailers are too long and spoil the plot, i'm pretty big on spoilers so I tend to try staying away from trailers as much as possible.

I do this quite a bit actually. I don't watch a lot of TV, but my friend and I always seem to see movies so we see movies she likes which are usually movies I've never heard of.

Yes, I have... and it is a lot of fun. I don't like it when people watch the trailers on youtube in order to decide if they will watch the movie xD I hate it when they only care to watch it, if there is a particular actor/actress in it.... then again trailers can really spoil it
