How many of you have seen it? I watched it on Wednesday and really enjoyed it. Jude Law and Downey Jr. both acted brilliantly, and Rachel McAdams didn't disappoint at all either.

Very witty and action-packed (I figured it would be a lot more low-key detective work, but Downey kicked some serious ass.)

I saw it a few days ago. It was exactly what I expected, really good, but nothing phenomenal. RDJ and Jude Law's performances were phenomenal though! Definitely worth the money, and I'll get it on DVD. Looks like there's going to be a sequel too.

I saw it and thoroughly enjoyed it. :D Robert Downey Jr. can certainly do good work, and the plot kept me guessing right to the end!

As a fan of the stories, that's what I'm afraid of. Less reclining in armchairs and more kung-fu. Oh well, I expect I'll still see this as Downey is never less than watchable.

Yeah, they even said on some talk shows that they moved away from the stories a little bit. Something about not portraying Watson as a bumbling idiot or something along those lines (among other things.)

Robert Downey Jr.'s performance was amazing.

I liked how they incorporated his intellect in the fight scenes.

The movie reminded me of Indiana Jones 4. I loved it as an action movie, but not as a Sherlock Holmes movie.

Having gone into it with no real expectations/pre-formed opinions since I had never read a Sherlock Holmes story I really enjoyed it. I found myself hoping for a sequel as soon as the movie was over.

The scene where he goes up to the horse and cart in disguise (not going to give any more spoilers than that) was filmed at my university campus :D

Overall, I really liked the movie. It had some action, yeah, but was still very clever. They paid nice attention to small details and characters more than in many movies nowadays; I'd be disappointed if they didn't with a Sherlock Holmes movie.

I love when movies have scenes like that. Those type of things were the best part of movie.

Watson wasn't a bumbling idiot in the books... That sounds more like the character that Nigel Bruce played in the old Sherlock Holmes films with Basil Rathbone.

It's certainly more modern as to be expected.

It is a good film though, I enjoyed it.

I thought it was a pretty cool movie, 9/10. Only thing that caught me was he seemed to talk fast. Overall I thought it was awesome, other than that.

I thought it was a great film also, it was just cool, nothing else for it. I do like all of Guy Ritchie's films anyway though, even the films that weren't so highly rated like 'Revolver' etc.

Probably one of my favorite films in a while.. Thought it was an all round fantastic film! It held my attention very well, and was quite disappointed when it ended..
Fab' that they left it open for a sequel ;)

Good film - *well* worth watching in the Cinema..
