What do YOU think about this movie?
Hidden:
I, personally, like how Richard Kelly showed two ways it could be. In the beginning, Donnie survived, but he was a little mentally sick, his mom and sister died, Frank "the Rabbit" and Donnies girlfriend died too, but that pedofile was put in jail. Then, in the end Kelly goes back to past with this move: Donnie opens a gate into the past and the aircraft engine goes with him and drops on him. But it was like a disguise, so we could see what would happen if Donnie died. His girlfriend (who doesn't now know him) lives, his mother and sister live, Frank lives but the pedofile is free.

I think the movie was great, interesting and it gives you some stuff to think about.
So, again, what do you think of this film?

I thought this was an amazing film, but I haven't seen it since I was about 16. My thoughts have matured and changed since then, however.

I seem to remember it bringing a tear to my eye...

It's definately a favorite of mine, and it definately takes some thinking to figure out what everything means. One recommendation to any who wants to watch it for the first time: Watch the director's cut. Things that are left unexplained in the theatrical version, are explained in this version. And if you have seen the movie, and still have some unanswered questions, I implore you to watch the director's cut as well. :)

I watched it when I was very little, and didn't understand it at all :?: I might get around to watching it again someday and see if I understand it now that I'm older.

Awesome movie, confusing as hell. I had to watch it a few times to get it. What shocked me was that it was technically a made-for-tv-movie.

I honestly haven't seen it yet, but I hope to soon. I basically know about the whole film, but I still would like to actually see it form beginning to end.
