Oh man Jan, you just got zinged by Riptide. How much does THAT suck?

Well, statistically speaking, slightly more than a giant suckusaur. A dire one.

Should have stopped after around 330 episodes. I'm not sure why, but I always pinpoint that Pieman episode of the Simpsons as to where it fell apart.

I have the first 10 Seasons on dvd now, only a few more and I have all the ones that are worth watching.

I caught glimpses of this as I was going inside and outside as it was airing; some of it (the section I saw, anyway) was pretty good and interesting.

I think it's a testament to the creators and the series that it's still going. Even though it's almost certainly past its peak it's still a good show that pulls in the ratings and I'm sure it will continue that way.

In the movie you can see that it's based on Springfield in Illinois. As the camera pans out you see Illinois and then the whole of the USA.

EDIT: But they change their locationa all the time, at some point the simpsons has been based in almost all the US states.

They've changed loads, the colours, the shape of the characters even who the Simpsons live next to, i remember then living next to loads of people.

Didn't they say in the Movie that the state Springfield's in is bordered by Maine, Kentucky, Nevada, and Ohio?

Find me a State that fits those criteria lol.

Well Springfield seems to fit that criteria.

Though I do still watch the Simpsons I definitely prefer the earlier episodes, the first 5 or 6 seasons where the plots and characters are more believable and less wacky. Homer seems to be getting dumber and dumber as the show progresses and it's lost a lot of it's warmth. It's like it's trying to compete with Family Guy with it's silliness now.

Family Guy and American dad are just idiotic and make fun of people in real life, whereas South Park takes everything cool and adds swear words.

The Simpsons is just stupid because of Homer's unbelieveable antics, and Bart should've been expelled like 20 Billion times from Springfield Elementary, and he's been in the same year of school for like 3 years of in real life time.

I 100% with that!

I liked during the documentary section where one of the writers comments that he "doesn't read the forums anymore, they were funnier 10 years ago."
