Who on Runevillage likes watching MMA? I'm not talking about WWE smackdown/raw, or boxing. I'm talking about UFC/Pride/Strikeforce/M-1/Dream/etc.

Lots of stuff going on in the world of MMA right now. Big fights being made. For anyone who knows him, Brock Lesnar (former WWE champion/NCAA wrestling champ multiple times/Current UFC heavyweight champion) is set to fight Shane Carwin (#1 Heavyweight contender/Former NCAA champ).

PLUS Kimbo is set to appear on this season of The Ultimate Fighter. The coaches for this season are Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson and 'Sugar' Rashad Evans. There has been rumors going around that Kimbo lost his first fight though =/ The season starts on September 16th for anyone who wants to catch it.

Discuss anything you like, theres a lot more news then what I mentioned above.

MMA is my life, No Lie..

Franklin is gonna win, and hopefully make his way back to the top with a title around his waist. One can hope....

Im also pumped for the next Machida fight. Even tho i think his next opponent is undeserving of a title shot.

Belfort hasn't been fighting top-class competition, only training with them. So yeah, Franklin will probably destroy him.

I'm excited to see Machidas next fight as well, his style is so unique and effective, it always makes for a good fight.

Personally I'm hoping to see Machida and Anderson Silva go at it sometime in the future. Maybe Silva could move up, because he as before, or they could do catchweight.

I like MMA, I've watched a *lot* of UFC unleashed...watched the entire first season of Ultimate Fighter along with some of the most recent one...

Favorite fighters: Chuck Liddell: Arguably the best pure striker ever in MMA
Royce gracie: revolutionized submissions in MMA
Matt Hughes: the name speaks for itself

Fighters I hate: Brock Lesnar: everyone keeps saying he's the best fighter ever...he's not even a technically *sound* fighter, he's just huge, and able to manhandle most of his opponents.

Kimbo: Beating the crap out of random people then humiliating them over the internet doesn't make you a fighter. has barely any real training. Is a disgrace to MMA in general, IMO.

I know Burks is an enthusiast of MMA, seen him talk about it and even talked a bit with him about certain bouts and what have you. My brother and I will watch it every now and then if something sparks our interest, but I don't set my TiVo (which I don't have by the way... It's just a phrase) for UFC/MMA contests.

Anderson Silva VS Machida will never happen. They are VERY good friends, and have agreed to never fight.


Chuck Liddel is supposedly talking with Dana to come out of his "forced" retirement.

and I 100% agree, that Kimbo Slice, has no MMA skill at all...

Wow, I can't believe they would let him fight. Kyle Maynard, I wonder if he has any relations with Grey Maynard, a lightweight contender in the UFC.

It sucks that we won't see Silva vs Machida. It would be a BIG fight for the UFC if it happened, probably the super-fight of the year.

Yeah, thats one of my favorite knockouts. Here's another vid, of my favorite fighter Rampage Jackson doing some slams. One of the best slammers in MMA imo, he just hasn't been using them as much in the UFC.

Indeed, I am a big fan. Sadly my work schedule has me working every Saturday until the end of November, so I won't be able to watch any of the PPV's until December. That is unless I want to watch them after everyone already told me who won. ^_^;

Ultimate Fighter season 10 premieres tonight, along with a new UFC Fight Night. Its all on Spike TV, starts 8pm EST and ends at 11pm EST.

This season looks like its going to be badass. I just found out some of the fighters on this season have the majority of their wins by knockout/TKO.

Nate Diaz pulled off a BEAUTIFUL Guillotine Choke... and I must say I was very disappointed Rampage's guy lost, as I'm not a huge fan of Rashad Evans.

Brock Lesnar isn't a fighter. He's basically a bear that lays on top of you and paws at you with huge fists.

I personally wanted Drew McFedries to win. I would've liked to see him come back to his old self where he was knocking guys out. I expected Cole Miller to win over Efrain Escudero but I guess Efrain is a force to be reckoned with, 13-0 isn't too bad. I pretty much expected the fights in the main card to go how they did, except for the Martin Kampmann/Cro Cop fight and at the end of the Cro Cop fight he walked away with a towel over his face, hope hes okay. Somehow I knew Vitor was going to win, not in the fashion that he did though.

What do you guys think? I was surprised with the outcomes of a lot of these fights -_-
