I just got back from watching Saw V.

Hidden:
Overall, it was not as good as I-III but better than IV. My advice, watch IV before watching V. You won't be confused at the beginning like I was. The ending is freaking cool as hell though!

So, I take it the tagline "You won't believe how it ends" is true?

I knew how it would end halfway through the movie, in a general sense.

But how it ended was......way beyond how I thought it would end.

Watch the movie and my post will make much more sense. I don't want to give ANYTHING away!

Edit: I'd have to rank it better than 4, possible better than 3, but not as good as 1 and 2.

Hm, lol. Maybe my expectations were too high. Saw V simply felt like an epilogue to Saw IV. Yeah it was great, and the ending was great, but it didn't pack the same punch that VI did. Not enough Jigsaw, definitely not a "omg omg i didnt see that coming" ending, and the final room in the game was just like "hmm, ok." Trust me, I'm a die-hard Saw fan, but this one just didn't do it for me. Oh well, maybe Saw VI or Saw VII will be better.

I knew THAT person was going to eventually die but the way he did. Oh boy. The bone split at the end was pretty rad. Definitely not one of the better Saws. As you said, hopefully 6 and 7 will be better. My girlfriend heard a rumor that they are planning up to Saw X. Any idea?

Saw X? You realize they're getting worse progressively?

Here's how I'd rate them:

Saw IV
Saw III
Saw I
Saw II
Saw V

But as andrey said, they actually are getting worse progressively, according to rottentomatoes. They're dropping few percentage points per movie. Honestly though, I believe 6 and 7 will be better, becuase hopefully they'll actually make some serious continuation with the timeline instead of "well here's what happened while that was going on..."

And yeah, the bonesplit was pretty cool lol. He was a pretty clever guy, I actually thought he would make an escape through the fence-roof thing, but everyone has their limits... and his limits were two walls crushing him to goop.

Well, I think that all of them are pointless. The First one can give you the idea. Now this is what I was told but if I am wrong just say:
The whole point of the Saw movies is that a few people are thinking of committing suicide and so this crazy maniac does these "games" on them and to really try to show that there is a point on living. So then from after those "games" they realize to be alive.
Now this is what I was told in a way but If I am wrong tell me. But since I was told this I think that all the Saws are the same thing over and over again just different way to torture them

EDIT: Do they all do are do some live?

Saw is good, I like it. It;s just funny to watch when your bored. Their not perticularly good movies with a good storyline, but I guess the producers know that.

The water box... ugh. *Cringes*

I do agree, they have become worse over time.

But that has not stopped them from making millions. As long as the company can make more than what they spend making the film, they'll do it.

Look at video games......Mega Man 128 and Street Fighter II: The 42nd installment!

Total poop, in all the movie accomplished nothing and is in no way a stand alone movie. A lot of the horror series with like 27 entries make all of the movies be able to standalone, not only do they not try to do that, but they don't even try to make a good movie. In the story, nothing was accomplished. In a decade or so, these movies will not be fondly remembered, even with like 10,000,000 sequels. At leas the movies in the Halloween series are remembered forever, once the Saw series ends, most people will forget about it. :?
