Is it true one can not simply blow their horn into Mordor?

He was never young when he arrived at Middle Earth around 12000 years before the Fellowship, at least I think it was that long before. It was a while, but it's not really explained, that I can find, what Gandalf was like as a young person.

the answer t mords question...Yes you can...but it wont due much good unless they are the horns of gondor and rohan, they strike temperary fear into the enemies of those realms...

Donuts question...Gandalf is 7000 years old...he arrived in middle earth in the beginning of the second age along with many other wizards such as Saruman and Radagast the Brown. the White council was formed aroud 2500-3000 years before the fellowship. so he was qiute young and probably not as wise as he was now...but full of more guile and energy...but his age had increased his wrath and fury.

as for Hoof...i have no idea why sam never came out of the closet...for those who dont know Sam's REAL name... is Banazir which means ( halfwise: simple minded) in the Elvish language of old. frodo crossed the sea with the elves and gandlaf as you kno in the end of the Return of the king....Sam flourished in the shire and was mayor 7 times and bore 12 children i believe which he named goldilocks frodo bilbo pippin elanor and others that i cant remember....after his 7th term in office he gave the Red Book ( the lord of the rings book) to his oldest child Elanor...then he crossed the sea to be with frodo and the others because the Eldar decided to Receive him

Incidentally, they are all of the Maia (I think that is the spelling), which Sauron was too.

Would we need an army of ninja wizards to get into Mordor?

Gandalf: I'm a wizard!

Boromir: Yeah, but you're not a ninja.

No, only Saruman was a Maia within the order. The rest were Istari, hence why Eru had to directly intervene with Gandalf's death after his battle with the Balrog of Khazad-Dûm. (Although I believe he "ascended", to a fashion, after he was resurrected.) Needless to say, none of them were ever "young". They were created as they were. The only differences between the time they were sent to Middle-Earth by the Valar, and, say, the war of the ring, is that they became more learned of the world they were in. It should be also noted that Gandalf was reputed as the oldest and the wisest of them all, especially among the Elves, which is why Círdan gave him his ring.

He was a Maia, and became a servant to Melkor, later known as Morgoth (Essentially the Tolkien equivalent of Loki or Satan.) before even the Elves were created. He came to Middle-Earth when his master had first started his brutal campaigns in the land, and after the Valar defeated Morgoth, he hid in Middle-Earth.

I was wondering, whenever a mortal puts on the ring, does it link them with Sauron until they take off the ring?
And if the ring is left on for too long, does Sauron consume the mortal?

Pretty much. Lesser beings would simply become like the Nazgûl. However, if someone like Gandalf or Saruman wielded it, they could use it to become more powerful than Sauron, (as was Saruman's original plan before he was seduced by Sauron) but it would also corrupt them to the same level of evil.

...

Yes, they're Istari. (Maia in Saruman's case.) They're all of the same order as the Valar. (Gods.)
