In fact, HBO is readying to debut a Game of Thrones series, based on the fantasy novel by George R.R. Martin. I think viewers are ready for a great fantasy series, complete with lots of over the top gore that the game is known for.

Did a little more researching and found an IMDB entry. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0944947/
I haven't read the books myself, but have heard great things about them.

you know i was thinking of just randomly sending a photo off for Season 2 Auditions cus atm i look perfect for a extra on that show.

http://www.tvshowauditions.info/2011/05 ... son-2.html

If you live in Ireland, i think you should just apply for a extra it will be fun and something to tell your kids.

I've heard good things, but don't really know the books at all

I'm tempted to go through the books first, but I'm still in the process of going through the Wheel of Time books, so it'll be some time before I'd start this

Has anyone actually been watching this? It's one of the greatest seasons of a TV show that I've ever seen. And Sean Bean is amazing.

The twist they pulled off at the end of the most recent 9th episode is probably a historical landmark for a television series. The internet's in an uproar.

Hidden:
Killing off the main character in such a fashion, in the first season of a show, even before the finale?
Damn.

I've been watching it, and what a series! I really like how this is going. I also need to get the books.

Hidden:
I think I might be rooting for Daenerys. I really like her character, and how she has progressed throughout the season. I hope Khal Drogo is ok, and I wonder what will happen once she has the baby born.

It's a great series, and I was also quite shocked at the latest episode

Part of me wishes I could have read the books beforehand, but these kind of things usually disappoint in comparison to the source material so maybe reading it afterwards would be better anyway

I don't have the correct channel to watch this... and I'm waiting for the DVD boxset (I said i'd buy it for my dad's birthday when it comes out) but I've read the book and really want to watch this.

I've watched up to 6/10 episodes, and am reading Dance with Dragons (3/4 through... been taking it slow).

Came out a month ago, started watching with my dad today, just sat through 7 episodes. Loving it. Roll on Season 2!

Not looking forward to seeing Joffrey in this season. I hope he gets an ass kicking or something. I am looking forward to seeing Dany though!

I watched the entire season in a few days. Hot. Damn. This is pure gold! It's a pretty accurate portrayal too about how beeped up medieval society was (poor vs rich and all that).
