Eldar?????????

Elves, I believe it more specifically refers to those that came from Valinor though.

Correct me if I'm wrong

Pretty much. When the Elves were created into being, they were in a location far to the east of Middle-Earth. The Elves who chose to travel to Valinor became known as the Eldar, as they had seen the light of the trees.

That'd make a bit more sense, Ape. :P

Gandalf is 7000 years old?

How come in all the movies he never used magic against the monsters except against the nazgul and the balrog?

Is Gandalf from another world or land, and if he is that foreign and ancient, why did he befriend Bilbo and Frodo? I know in the Hobbit he helped Bilbo but I forget why they became such good friends.

When Bilbo and Frodo go to the Undying Lands at the end of the movie, what happens after that? Do they just chill for eternity? Does he ever meet the other Hobbits? Does anything continue on in LOTR with another adventure?

Probably had something to do with a little golden ring that Bilbo found (and passed on to Frodo) that determined the future of good and evil in middle earth. :P As gandalf was a "Servant of the light" or however he terms himself ("Servant of the flame imperishable" comes to mind, but I think that's from an instance in LoTRO not the book...) , he would in theory want to work for the best interests of the forces of good in middle earth, thus feeling a desire to bring about the end of the ring, and thereby destroying the threat that was Sauron/the shadow in the east. #-o
