I loved it. All the dwarves had scottish accents! It was really funny. I took my girlfriend who has never seen LOTR trilogy and she loved it as well. I'm upset I have to wait to see the rest.

Good movie. :awesome: I prefer the characters of The Fellowship over the dwarves in this film, but that didn't keep me from enjoying it. Martin Freeman is perfect as Bilbo. It was nice to see some familiar faces like Gandalf, Galadriel, etc, even Gollum's ugly mug.

Just saw it.

Was pretty amazing. So many small references that I picked up, they really did their research.

I loved The Hobbit so much! It was an amazing film! I liked how it was lighthearted, and fairly close to the book, with some differences. The dialogue was pretty much spot on, and I like the songs that they included in the movie. Martin Freeman couldn't be more perfect for Bilbo. I most likely am going to see it again with one of my friends.

December 13, 2013, and the third movie will be out on July 18, 2014.

I kinda hope they push the third one back to December 2014.

I AM!

I actually just re-watched The Hobbit and it was like my first time seeing it, very good movie! (watched it with my girlfriend the first time and that resulted in me seeing probably 10 minutes of the entire movie  )

not overly excited about it.
the movies seem visually appealing, but there's no need for all these money grabbing sequels.

So I should point out I rescinded that sentiment ages ago and decided that I have no interest in seeing these films whatsoever.

Then I read the summary for part 2. I think it's best I withhold my vitriol at this stage.

i watched Part 2 last night, and it was awesome i think its so much better than the first. The only thing that kinda urks me is Legolas and the one man army Fuzzy Bunny he dose in all lotr movies, just watch him and he kills about 100-200 per film while everyone tries to break into doubles.

I agree that the thing that irks me about Lord of the Rings, and The Hobbit is Legolas and his one man army tricks. It did not annoy me as much that he was in The Hobbit, although I originally thought it would just be a small part, since he is the son of King Thranduil.

Also, was anyone else slightly irked by Tauriel and the possible love triangle that she might have with Kili/Legolas?

That character is beginning to sound like Jackson just decided to make his wife into a Mary Sue.
