Ugh, The Office was really awkward for me. First of all, if a company/branch is already working efficiently, why change it? Changing policy is costly. The CEO was also very unprofessional during the video call. She reminded me of Mom on Futurama.

She reminded me of Paula Dean from the Food Network. Butter and pea-cons. haha

30 rock was really funny this week (it always is). Community kinda let me down, and the office was a major let down. If Aziz Ansari wasnt in parks and rec i wouldnt watch.

30 Rock > Community > The Office > Parks and Rec

30 Rock was great, Community was alright, Parks and Rec again failed to impress me.

For The Office, I liked the episode but I hate where the show is going. Everything was so simple and comedic back in season 3, I hate how it's going all drama and plot advancements. They better be setting this up for a great comedic opportunity, otherwise I don't think what they're doing is a great idea.

Michael said it best, "I miss the old Dunder Mifflin. Too much change is not a good thing. Ask the climate." It definitely had some funny one-liners, but I definitely wasn't over the moon with this episode. I'll keep watching happily just because the characters are still so captivating to me.

John directed that episode so let's hope it's just his poor director skills, haha.

And yeah, I don't like what they did to David's character. I really liked that guy, he was probably my favourite "background character" and they sorta ruined him, even if it was funny. He had such a down-to-earth, calm and collected persona.

so far, i've had mixed feelings about season 6. while last weeks episode was funny, the recent clip show was just terrible and unnecessary in this day and age. we dont need a clip show with sites like watch the office online. i hope they keep making more episodes but please no more clip shows!

Loved this last episode. I'm still not sure I'm comfortable with such a massive change in DM, but I'm sure I'll adjust soon enough (not too fond of Kathy Bates, though). Manager Jim is gone and it looks like we have funnier prankster Jim back, that'll do it for me. :D Seeing a lot more of this side of Ryan is funny too. Not enough Dwight, though.

A lot of great lines in this show.

"It's in the manual." "Manuel who?"
"He's molesting people on the internet."
"Did you see Saw?" "Of course I seesaw."

Was it just me, or was the IT guy in this episode the same guy Pam talked to in the "Job Fair" episodes a few seasons ago about art school? Strange casting job there.

I dare say 30 Rock (great cameos) and The Office (this Office was actually one of my favourite this season) tied as my favorites for the first time in awhile, while Community and Parks and Rec were about tied as well.

It is episodes like this that makes me think the Office is not dead yet. It was by far the best of the season.

This week:
The Office = 30 Rock > Community > Parks and Rec

Yeah, if you ask me it still lacks the simplicity of the first few seasons. I have a feeling they're going in this direction for a reason, though. It'll all be worth it. :awesome:

Oh god, I thought The Office last night was a trainwreck. Looked at the clock, and it was only 35 minutes in and I thought dear god, we're only barely half way. Its just a completely different show from what it was, in a variety of ways. Jim and Pam went from lovable, relateable people to an annoying couple. Dwight went from a weird coworker to an over-the-top cartoon figure. The show itself went from a quirky show about life in the office, to all sorts of crazy storylines.

Its just a completely different show. I can understand why some people would still like it, but I really dont. Its just not my type of show anymore. Personally, I hope this is the last season, so that when its in syndication we can have the highest percentage of good episodes possible. Im sure they will keep plugging along though, and it will be like The Simpsons where the first half of the series is worth watching and the second half isnt. Oh well.

Yikes, Apple. Maybe you should take like a few months off The Office then come back to it. It's really hard to appreciate it until you watch some of the other junk that's on TV. Perhaps a break would help. You don't know how good you have it until it's gone.

I thought it was hilarious. Quite a few of my friends and I got together to watch it (we've been waiting for this one for agggeess, haha). From grabbing the wrong baby, to Dwight destroying the house, to Michael and Helena, to Erin crying, to Michael walking in on the delivery, there were parts where we were crying.

I'll agree it's not comparing to its golden days, and I wish they'd go back to the former simplicity, but it's very humorous in my eyes nonetheless. It's like a pizza with delicious toppings or a cheese pizza. It's all good.

Definitely in my top 5 favorite episodes.

It was a funny episode that's for sure, but I completely get what Apple is saying. I think the show lost it's uniqueness sometime around Season 4. Season 2 and 3 were the best, I remember moments from almost every episode, I can't say the same for Season 6. It's funny, but it's just not as special as it used to be.

The part where I started laughing really loud was when Dwight rolls out of Pam and Jims bed. I was dying right there.

I guess my problem is with the opposition between asking us to watch what is supposed to be a documentary, and the constantly asking us to suspend disbelief because what we are watching would never actually happen. And yes Jack youre right, the show changed during season 4. I remember the specific moment too, the jumping of the shark if you will. It was when Michael intentionally drove his car into the lake. Since that point, theyve had the occasional episode that hearkened back to the golden era, but the writing as a whole has changed directions completely.

And for all of you Id highly recommend Modern Family if you arent already watching it. Ive only watched a few episodes, but I think I can say its the funniest show on TV right now.

I totally agree, the characters are a bit over the top and the plot is both distracting, overly complicated and unnecessarily different, but I still find it worth the watch because while the show is undoubtedly worse, it's still good in my eyes.

Ah well. I'm still praying that this is all part of a master plan towards a comedic breakthrough, but admittedly I'm losing hope.

So what did you think of yesterday's episode? I'm starting to warm up to the Sabre CEO, but I still miss David Wallace. I like what's going on between Andy and Erin, I just hope they don't end up being clones of Jim and Pam.

Erin is so weird, but I think that's pretty cool.

Did anyone watch that Friend's episode where Rachel goes on a date with that guy she thought was Yeti? Danny had a sister who he was "very close" with? That reminded me of Erin and her foster brother, lol.

I enjoyed the mega desk joke and it was nice seeing Packer again, but what he did at the end there was a little bit too vulgar for my liking. Even for Packer's standards.

I have mixed feelings about Erin, she sticks out a bit. I dunno.

And yeah, I miss David Wallace, he was such a suave guy. :( Jo should be interesting, I just need time to warm up to her.

Good episode, though. Mega-desk was pretty amusing. That and Kevin's outfit in itself.

Other than the not-so-great green screen at the dump on The Office, I think Community, Parks and Rec, The Office and 30 Rock were all fantastic.

The Marriage Ref was pretty funny as well.

Some of the jokes felt a little forced on, but otherwise it was a good episode. The ending was nice.
