Taking nothing away from Jaden Smith with this, but he looks way to young to be believable in the part from the trailer at least.

I understand it is the Karate "Kid" and all, but he looks so much younger compared to all the other kids in the trailer, just seems like a bulkier actor would have worked out a little better.

I mean at least the original Karate kid seemed to have some height behind him.

I dunno about this. But it can't hurt to have Jackie Chan in it. :) I do agree about the kid, however. In the 1st Karate Kid Daniel was old enough to drive, so he must have been in his mid-late teens. In the 3rd one, it was a few years later and he was starting college. Not a fan of the ten year old kid with corn rows, tbh.

No Cobra Kai? What's the point of remaking it?

There is only one reason this movie will be bad, and that reason is...

... that Jackie Chan's crowning moment was that scene. He will never be able to live up to that scene. Every movie of his since then has not been able to live up to the expectations and dreams of those who appreciated his work in Shanghai Noon.

To summarize, Jackie Chan is like the Zelda series. With the turn of the millennium they released upon the world their true moments of glory and forever ruined any future works.

Also, The Karate Kid is just one of those movies that shouldn't be remade.

(Although if it had to happen, I'm glad it happened with Jackie Chan. <3)

I can't think of a single remake of any films that hasn't been made terrible and most of the time there is unneeded explosions.
