I personally like Eddie Van Halen more. It's hard to say who's better, Eddie had a completely different style considering he was way over-the-top. I think it just depends on what you're looking at,

Riffs: equal.
Solos: equal.
Improv: Page.
Influential: Van Halen.

Both of them.

Why? They are both inovators and different players. I think it is unfair to compare musicians, especially when they are different styles.
