Alright, so I know we have a few vocalists at RV who have dabbled in the art of extreme metal vocals and even those who haven't, but still listen to extreme metal have heard of this series of DVDs.

Being a vocalist myself the DVD and Melissa Cross herself have interested me greatly, but I never really felt I needed the series. Since then I have bought the series off of e-Bay and I'm currently waiting for them to come in the mail. I still don't know if the DVDs will be for me, but they were dirt cheap and it never hurts to watch them and at least try out what Melissa is teaching. I've heard she really teaches you how to project and better your air control so I'm excited for that.

For those of you who've watched the series already, did it help you? Please share your thoughts!

I've seen an article about this in Revolver Magazine like 5 years ago. I used to have a subscription, etc. She seems like a good teacher. I've checked out clips on youtube.

The DVD is all about breathing techniques, and how to control your air flow to be able to scream longer.

She also shows some exercises you can/have to do daily in order for it to work as intended.

It was a quite interesting DVD, especially with all the interviews and opinions of then and today famous singers.

That's just the first one, right? I've heard the second one gets into more advance techniques. Breathing techniques never hurt though.
