Change isn't always a bad thing, Reggie. I can't help but to think that RV is always afraid of change. For those of you who play(ed) RuneScape, think of this as the update on December 10th. Yes, it was a seemingly horrible, horrible update, and many people quit. But all in all, we adapted to the change, and it was really for the better. Would it be crazy to say that this may be the case here?

Imagine, the rank will be more valuable, and you all have a shot at a new position. Harness the changes! We had over one hundred Village Elders before this 'update', don't you think that was slightly too many?

Those who deserve the rank will be rewarded with it. If you're leaving because of this, you must think you don't deserve your position. Think logically here, you're all not acting very rational.

While I do believe this was a good decision, the only aspects I disagree with were the lack of forewarning, and that we're not being rewarded in the slightest for our hard work and dedication for a penniless job. Maybe even a small area in our Profile that said that we were formerly a Moderator, not necessarily the Village Elder rank.

Stick it out guys, see how it unravels. I'm staying, although not as much, Moderating was one of the things that kept me here the most, but I'll still post, just less.

Those of you complaining over losing your rank may very well get it back, but not if you keep up your attitudes. :?

Good mods? You gotta be kidding, modding is easy. When in doubt just press the red button and blame it on Mustang 8)

Piss off you Fuzzy Bunny aussie Fuzzy Bunny your reaction would have been as bad as the rest of us if you hadn't become one of Fuzzy Bunny them.

Clearly this is the best move for RV. I frankly think the mod numbers Hiker has chosen are too high. We need 5 mods for the forums and 5 mods for the chat, tops.

You can jump of a Fuzzy Bunny cliff as well your Fuzzy Bunny happy you sit back and do Fuzzy Bunny all whilst all the mods do the Fuzzy Bunny work. You and your missus just sit back and take the damn credit it makes me sick.

This whole thing in my opinion has been blown way out of proportion...
Every person who held a special rank should feel grateful that they did, you have helped alot of people here probally and you should be proud of what you have done, just because it has been taken away for now doesn't meen that you won't get it back, or thats what i think by what hiker said in his post. I can see that some people will not, but thats life ey .. move on or stay and actually enjoy the community from another view?

It isn't the end of the world that you have lost your "powers", so what if you have, it shouldn't just be about that it should be about helping the community that you enjoy helping not just sit there on the forums moderating it because it makes you "big". In my eyes this whole situtation will make the RV community stronger in the long run and you should just relax and see what happens.

It really shows the whole community who was just here for power and who was here to actually help the community, to be fair its quite disgusting looking at some of these posts on this topic to see people i thought were nice people shouting off at the admins of this community that many of us have grown to love..

Oh and if this is an aprils fools...I can deffinetely see some people not been a moderator again after it after some of the posts in this topic...

And for people who assume i don't know how you feel, i do and what happened to me was alot worse than this, so don't bother flaming me thanks :)

I know what you mean he's practically bending over for the admins hoping he'll come out of this Fuzzy Bunny with a promotion.

You obviously have no idea just how much effort and trouble we put ourselves through as moderators. It's a ton of work and a near-thankless job, and then to just have it removed for no better than "ololol chang guis *restart button*" is just.. I can't describe the disgust I hold for the administration with this decision!

I'm not going to go filling my post with fuzzy bunnies, despite how much I may want to, but I'll tell you this - I don't care what little game you guys are playing, I just can't accept that you would turn away your moderator team after all the effort we've put into keeping these forums, chat, and the community running! You can take your promotions and shove it, because I officially want no part of an administration that would do something like this.

I'll talk to you guys on RS or MSN or whatever.

Any ex-mods, I advice you don't read what's hidden
Hidden:
Just being honest, this topic made my day, so many people getting really frustrated about a game.
My respect for several ex-mods out there dropped like a brick.
Got to love a good joke.

I want a pink name...haha Don't want a rank though...
This whole thing has blown way out of hand, people should just relax and see what happens....They say they are moving to RHQ yet they won't be a mod there?
I can see why people are upset, but they have got themselves into that frame of mind.

Advice...

1. RELAX
2. CALM DOWN
3. WAIT

Do them, and it might get you somewhere....

Someone better "change" the filthy diaper that is this topic. People worked, and worked hard for their rank. I know people like Glodenox (who helped me with roving elves, tyvm) still have ranks. I never had a rank, and i will probably never get one. The123king is one person i would like to wake up and see on this forum with a different colored name tag then me. And donut juice, idc if you chinned to 99 range or not, that cape is the sexiest thing ever. Youre not bad either :P.

tl;dr

People that had their rank earned them in the first place, and you can't just undo it.

Oh wait, you just did.

Spitefully,
Dae.

P.S. If this is April Fools, say so before half the playerbase is gone.
