I hope this can become a pretty active topic. I don't want to make a new thread for, like, every show I watch (especially if it's not ongoing anymore) but at the same time it's not like this should go in the "Your #1 anime" topic.

So!

I finished Gosick last night. It was pretty awesome. Not one of my absolute favorites but I figure it's worth the watch. :) Have any of you finished (or started?) anything lately?

I finished AnoHana 2 weeks ago or whenever it finished. I currently picked up Hanasaku Iroha and after Episode 1, I'm quite intrigued.

I remember when Gosick came out, I saw episode 1 and haven't seen an episode since. I'll probably try to pick it up again and give it a watch.

I finished the Suzumiya Haruhi series and movie a few days ago. It is definitely one of my favorites. I had been putting it off for almost a year. I'm having a hard time figuring out what to watch next. :( Maybe the Index/Railgun series.

yesssssssssss.

I'm also almost halfway through Shakugan no Shana because it was, er, brought up in Chat. :shifty: I'm taking it extremely slow, though. I guess that doesn't say a whole lot about what I think of it. I think I'd like to see AnoHana and Bakemonogatari and oh jeez a whole bunch of things really but I haven't had time lately to start anything new.

How is Shakugan no Shana, anyway? I thought about watching it, and then I... forgot. ^_^;

Btw, I've probably asked you this before and I don't remember your answer, but what is the best order to watch the Index/Railgun series?

I haven't watched any anime in months.

I think... I think I may have grown out of it.

Watched Eden of the East around a month or so ago, and that was the last one I've watched. Pretty excellent is all I have to say.

I keep forgetting to continue it. Episodes 1-4 felt like Fuko arc on steroids, episodes 5-8 were quite a bit different, and episode 9 was filler. I kind of have no idea where it's going; I'll probably have to finish it before I can give a better opinion.

Pyro and I both stumbled upon Railgun first because it was being subbed by the same group that did Haruhi season 2. We both agreed it was completely awesome, and then afterward realized that it was in fact a spin-off of Index (which partially explained why Index's main character showed up so much.) Although the shows have the same cast and take place in the same city, they are very different. Looking back on it, Railgun was a lot of fun to watch, and Index moved back and forth between "oh my goodness this is amazingly awesome" and "what the heck is going on I DON'T UNDERSTAND" over and over.

I watched Railgun first and saw Index later, and don't feel like I missed out on anything. Additionally, I'm 99% sure Railgun comes before Index chronologically anyway (it's very much obvious but it's a plot point so I won't say why) but by those same standards you could probably make a case for watching Haruhi S2 before S1. There's also two seasons of Index to one season of Railgun.

So in my opinion, Railgun then Index. And whatever my point of view is, Pyro disagrees, because he likes Index more than Railgun. :grr:

Release order was Index, Railgun, Index II. I'll stick by that forever. Don't forget we watched Index while Railgun was still releasing on a weekly basis. In the end we had seen all of Index before Railgun finished iirc.

Probably true, but Railgun has the better hook. The last story arcs of both Index seasons are so confusing.

Re-watched both Last Exile and Azumanga again. I don't think I've finished anything new though. Seems any time I start a series on hulu or something, they pull it off again.

Just finished Kaiji season 1, and watched up to episode 15 of season 2. Waiting on episode 16 now.

AnoHana, Deadman Wonderland S1, Denpa Onna No Seishun Otoko, Gosick, TWGOK S2, Puella Magi Madoka Magica.

I would recommend all of them as background noise to your more meaningful daily lives.

Except AnoHana. That show was near Clannad-level weepfest gold.

Just watched all of Akagi. Great show, but I think Kaiji is far better.

I just finished watching Rosario+Vampire the other day. Now I have to finish watching Rosario+Vampire Capu2. Neither is as good as the manga, but it makes me laugh.

I've been watching animes serially instead of archivally as of late. So it's more like I have to wait for the animes to finish rather than me finish them. :(

C is great though. It just recently finished.
