Excellent show so far. By far the best of the spring block. There have only been three episodes, but I can tell it's going to be a classic. I highly recommend you all start watching it immediately if you haven't already.

Watching the latest ep right now (4th). It's alright, but I can't say it's one of my favorite shows. I love the background art though.

Edit : The end of ep 4 made me LOL.

I just saw the first episode and damn it was a powerful. If the series continues like this then I know I'm going to love it more than I already do lol. I can't wait to watch the rest!

Ep 5 is out. This should be interesting.

EDIT : It was good. However I can't seem to shake off an impression of... shallowness. I mean, it's not like there's anything particularly wrong with the show, but it feels like there's not enough back story for the drama to have any real impact.

How long is it going to take Menma long enough to figure out she can write messages to the rest of the group, despite them not being able to see her? It's already been established that she's "real," for lack of a better word; she can interact with the tangible world.

There are probably some limitations as to what she can and can't do. Regardless, I agree that it took too long for her to do that, considering there are only three episodes left in the show.

Oh god I don't want it to end so soon. ;-;

What are your final thoughts on the show, for those of you who have finished it?

I watched the first episode a couple of days ago. It looks pretty solid, but it didn't really wow me. =\ I was kind of just waiting for the episode to finish. Is this one of those shows that gets really good a few episodes in?

It does get better, but yeah don't expect a huge OMGOSH THIS SHOW IS AWESOME kind of thing.

Still worth watching.

It's up to perception, really. I wouldn't say that I was along the lines of OMGOSH THIS SHOW IS AWESOME, I thought it was pretty damn good. The problems I would have with the series is that there isn't enough character development for two of the characters and just having 11 episodes weren't enough for me. Since many of you here seem to worship the ground Clannad is, I thoroughly enjoyed this series much more than I did Clannad. They're both good in their own rights and with their flaws but I just felt that I could connect better with Ano Hana (my own subjectivity as opposed to the next person).

Just wanted to say that I've finally got around to finishing the show. I must say the last ep. was really good. Made me cry.
