Well it's a big genre, and they often even show up in anime that isn't even
specificly that kind of show.

Mecha,giant robots,etc.

It's something I'm into a bit just my mechanical side I suppose. Others like some
for other reasons or whatever. So I'm just gonna make a topic for it since
there's really none out right now.

The guy [Mahiro Maeda] that worked on the mecha in this show also did a lot of work
on Last Exile for the ships and such. He's one of my favorite designers

Does Neon Genesis Evangelion count?

Eva kinda counts, the things aren't all that mechanical though really.
Still I'd kinda hope I'm not mostly alone here, there's other people I'd imagine
at least into some kinda mecha or something. I'd probably welcome even
posts about like mechanical designs from non-mecha based shows
eg. vehicles and such.
