Negima!: Magister Negi Magi (魔法先生ネギま!, Mahō Sensei Negima!?) is a manga and anime series by Ken Akamatsu, known for his best selling title, Love Hina, which contains a large amount of fan service/ecchi scenes. The manga is currently being published by Kodansha and serialized in Shonen Magazine in Japan. Del Rey Manga is publishing the English translated version. The anime, produced by XEBEC, aired in the first half of 2005 and is being released in the US by FUNimation Entertainment. Additionally, two OVAs have been announced, produced by Studio Shaft and GANSIS, who are also producing an alternate retelling of the series, Negima!?.

Mahou Sensei Negima is an amazing Manga/Anime. I started on it through the all-powerful "Everyone Should Watch" topic, co-created/maintained by enielle, me, and zeratanis.

Although I've read the origional series "Mahou Sensei Negima" was criticized for its artwork quality, the storyline is very good and enjoyable. I, too, could tell the artwork was a little lower-quality in the origional opening with the movements involved, yet not enough to be significant. There are 26 episodes in the anime series, which I will shortly finish (trying to savor it). There are 17 Manga volumes, with 152 chapters, 11 being currently released translated in the United States.

I really like it a lot; I've listened to/watched the opening/ova/ending over and over. I've bought the series, as well as just recently buying the first five manga issues. Barnes and Noble didn't have 6-11, but I have ordered them, arriving specifically for me some time next week. Each issue is $11.00 + tax, but it's all worth it!!!!!!

It's actually the first time I've bought manga for a series, and enjoy it a lot.

Negima!? is a sort of remake of the first series, Mahou Sensei Negima. It's not a second series/continuation. It has very impressive artwork and looks very good. It currently has 3 subbed episodes translated, with the 4th released raw on youtube. It looks like it has potential.

This is a short of the Haru OVA for negima, as well as the Negima!? opening I posted before.

Just wanted to share some info with you. I'm looking foward to finishing everything about this series and enjoying it. :)
