But rather than just crush you in my hand as I previously stated was so hard not to do, I'll throw you instead to give someone the chance to catch you if they manage to rush in at just the right moment to stop you from hitting the ground... And maybe if they have some spare time, they can pose like a bada- HEY WAIT WHAT?

Ichigo: Sup.

Rukia: DESPITE ICHIGO'S COCKY, BRO-LIKE ATTITUDE, I CAN SEE IN HIS EYES THAT HE'S EMO AT HEART.

Yami: STAND STILL I WANT TO CRUSH YOU

Ichigo: Chill bro, I just don't want to stab any of my homies in the stomach again.

Bankai - ssj
Old mask - ssj2
New mask - ssj4
First hollow form - Oozuru
Second hollow form (Against Ulq) - Golden Oozuru

BUT NOW WE'RE MISSING SSJ3 I'M SO CONFUSED. ;_;

No, his bankai was ssj2. Ssj1 was when he got his shikai, thus negating the fact that Byakuya had destroyed his sword.

Shikai isn't ssj, that's base form.

No, base form is the original form. However, when a character has a sufficient amount of plothax, they can use ssj1 as their "new base" form, which they only leave rarely, if ever. For example, Itachi and now Sasuke are both strong enough to maintain their ssj1 (sharigan) indefinitely under normal circumstances. The difference between base form is that it has no predecessor/lower form, while almost all ssjs are obtained in the middle of a battle from as lower form.
Anyway, Yami is...pretty dumb. That, and how are they going to get out of Hueco Mundo?

LET'S NOT FORGET THE FACT THAT THERE'S OTHER CHARACTERS CONSTANTLY IN BASE FORM WITHOUT SHIKAI. YOU KNOW LIKE THE CAPTAINS. ESPECIALLY KENPACHI.

Ichigo's zanpaktou is in constant shikai and even then he never uses it, he always busts out bankai the same way Goku busted out ssj. In terms of stages I may have been wrong, but as far as usage is concerned, Ichigo's bankai = ssj.

Anyway, if all of those captains, vice-captains, and Vizard can't beat Aizen, how is Ichigo supposed to have a chance? I'm aware he has plothax, but so does Aizen.

I think we've watched Bleach enough to actually begin to understand the CONCEPT of plothax. this is ridikulus.

I think Kubo realized half-way through writing this chapter that Rukia has never seen Ichigo's hollow mask, just said 'oh well' and kept on writing for about five seconds before finishing the chapter.

Obviously she was given extremely vivid descriptions that made her know for a fact that it was different!

Anyway, Ichigo needs to get stronger. He hasn't beaten a single Espada without relying on his Hollow, and he needed help with two others.
