I dunno. Kakashi came back from the dead. Let's be serious, though. Kakashi beating Sasuke would absolutely destroy the series hope of ending well or going anywhere further.

Stay dead this time Kakashi. The less reminders there are of Pain's cop-out the better.

I'd actually expect Kakashi to win this fight...if things followed normal, sane-person logic. He's got several times the experience Sasuke has, an arsenal of thousands of jutsu, and the ability to use all elements at will. Heck, he might even have the rasen-shuriken at this point. He's also got half of a Sharingan and the crazy black hole jutsu to go with it. To top it off, he taught Sasuke a lot of the basics about pretty much everything. He's got a huge advantage. Sasuke's only major advantage? More plothax than you can shake those thousand jutsu at. In this series, that's enough to win...heck, I'm not sure even Naruto has sufficient levels of plothax to beat Sasuke.

He can't control every element, only the one with the rinnegan can (Or was that someone else?)

Also he doesn't have that much more experience (kakashi's only about 10 years older than Sasuke I'd guess), plus Sasuke's got the whole training with Orochimaru and sharingan thing

You're also all forgetting that Sasuke's healer is still alive and about to be healed up by Sakura.

Well, at least a big fight scene is about to happen...maybe. I'm expecting Naruto to yell at Sasuke and try and convince him to see the light for at least one full chapter, and perhaps a few chapters of flashback (which we may have already seen). That, and it's not much of a fight anymore since Sasuke lost his vision and with it a good two-thirds of his plothax.

Oh, there will be a fight. For you see, within the remaining plothax Sasuke has left, there's bound to be a "Regain vision no jutsu". I predict no deaths, but they immobilize Sasuke and he goes into a coma for a few days. When he wakes up from the coma, he thinks everything bad he's done is a dream, rejoins the village, Naruto becomes Hokage, story ends.

Bam.

Madara pops in, bails Sasuke out, then implants Itachi's eyes into him be it by force or choice. Sasuke then has the "eternal" sharingan and can super saiyan 6 at will.

A friend came up with what I think is a very plausible theory as to what's gonna go down:

Obviously we'll see Naru vs Sasu in the future. We still don't know what "power" Itachi gave to Naruto before he died. My friend thinks it's protection from genjutsu/dojutsu from Itachi's eyes specifically. Basically means Itachi anticipated everything including Sasuke's decision to implant Itachi's eyes.
