If I knew the repercussions I can't say that I would. But then the people they pick are circumstancial and they need the person to have some reason to make a wish. Maybe I at the end of the day, I would purely on that basis. Who knows!

I definitely wouldn't make a wish for someone else, like Sayaka did. Unless they're a family member, and even then I wouldn't be willing to make a wish for just any family member.

Before the events of episode 8 I would've said yes in a heartbeat. Affffffter the rest of the series, I think I'd mull it over for a few more minutes, but in the end I'd still say yes.

Actually tried out this anime myself. I like how it's a grimdark deconstruction of the magical girl image. Personally, I'm a Kyoko fan.

Oh, I'm alright with the fact Kyubey essentially made them into liches (by definition, they essentially are those) as a way to keep the Universe going.

Yeah, Nate. Liches are usually defined by the practice of having their soul placed in an item (surprise, it's usually a gemstone or something small) with the practice of phylactery. In a way, the item is their body and it controls their old one like a puppet. As long as the item is unharmed, the user is essentially immortal and a few other bonuses is their healing and dullness of pain...

Yeah, I took this thread and made it go up many levels of creepy by comparing puella magi to liches by definition.

The re-watch bonus is the best part with anime. If you watched it with a certain mentality and then do it again thinking in a certain way, it feels as if all the episodes are brand new and less mind-screwy.
