So I have a copy of October's Nyantype and Dengeki G in my hands at the moment, http://twitpic.com/6uzhyr, and the stuff in them is amazing. The Rou-Kyuu-Bu! and Mayo Chiki Manga's are in them as well, so yeah, I really wanna now learn to read this stuff, lol. I have a massive problem with Scanlations in the fact that I am a very tactial person, so reading them on a computer screen means I'm not holding anything. As a result I don't read them, I really need an iPad and I'd be sorted.

Does anyone actually manage to read this stuff and recommend how they learnt, having Japanese as a second/first language from the start does NOT count, Lol.

Incase anyone wonders though, the issue's were totally worth it, even if I can't read them for the next 5 years, and I'll be picking up next months as well. If anyone hasn't seen what the insides of these looks like, I'm happy to supply pics etc. Just looking at these shames the one Magazine we get in the UK.

Moose out

Well I've been in the process of learning Japanese for about half a year now.

I'll be honest, its a lot of work. I think that you may not even be interested in manga by the time you finish learning the language.

That being said, the first things you should learn are the hiragana and katakana "alphabets". Once you know these, you can start using learning material written in Japanese (in a simplified form). It's going to be a rough start, but it helps in the long run.

Good luck
