It was actually when 1mil reach the surface.

Also the moon probe thing makes sense considering it was sort of based off spiral power and therefore proved humanity became more of a threat to the anti-spirals. 1 mil humans can't really do anything especially when a large majority of them don't even show/use spiral power.

I get what you mean in that it makes sense, but I mean that in the series, reaching 1 million people was more or less utterly inevitable, so during the city's riots I really felt bad for Simon. In the movie they went into space on purpose even after hearing the prophecy, so it felt more like "pfft screw you guys, you could've maybe rethought this; the rioting people are right this time in that this is totally all your fault".

Are the movies on YouTube (and by that I mean legally in the same way the main show is)?

Also, Genome's actions make more sense if the doomsday moon is set to go off based on population as opposed to space travel. If it was just space travel, he could have stuck beastmen on mountains and have them shoot down anything that goes above a certain altitude.

It was when 1 million people reached the surface. So Lordgenome was already doing just that instead of stopping people from going into space, he was stopping them from reaching the surface.

Different according to Lagann-hen didn't mention population. Genome said when they reached space.

Personally, I ignored that and kept assuming population because it's better that way.

not like it's anything super important to the plot. Just need a reason for them to come and then they come. the why is sort of irrelevant
