Disappointing a thread hasn't been made on this yet...

I am pretty hooked. It's a lot of fun and beats sitting on your ass playing video games. I've done more walking in the last 11 days since I started than I probably did for few months beforehand. Hatched my first 10kg egg today and got a 875 Snorlax which is amazing for me who is a quite a bit behind those that started on Day 1.

So.... who else is hooked?

I've been having issues getting it to work on my phone. I believe it's due to having android 4.3 and a rather weak processor.

I guess that's to be expected from you you like fighting in RS.‎
I'd imagine the people that leaned more towards skilling in RS would probably enjoy collecting monsters in pokémon.

Battling is okay at Gyms but nothing fancy. They will probably improve stuff like that over time, eg. trading is meant to be coming soon.

I'm up to lvl 14. The highest ive seen in the wild was a 541 Pidgeot which I caught with my 2nd pokeball... but a 452 Clefable? Wasted 50+ and it ran. Go figure. My Snorlax is 1269 but that was from a lucky egg hatch more than anything. After that my next highest is 642 >_>

Yep! I was going to make a thread on this the other day, but I got sidetracked.

Currently level 17 at the moment, I'm not in a bad spot either, I live near a Dratini spawn, and boy does it get crowded... I've heard people coming from hours away just to grab it and farm it. I believe the council has racked up over 4k in parking fines now.

Here's my team so far, the Dragonite spawned outside my house! I've caught 73 and seen 74 (God damn you, Slowpoke...)

That's some niiiiice progress. I'm up to a similar catch/seen now. I'm saving up for a mass evolve in the next few days while I have a lucky egg running to boost my level. Caught a 890 odd Magmar today (spawns in my suburb) and a 790 Slowbro which was really cool, my two highest wild catches.

When I first saw the page there was a Magmar a few streets away with a 8 minute timer on it. I figured it was a normal one and ignored it. Then for fun I googled it and the first post that appears is "15 hardest to find Pokemon in Pokemon GO" I look back, 5 minutes left, WHERE ARE MY SHOES AUGG. Went there and BAM it was real and I snagged it!

Now for regular tips: Pidgeys only take 12 candy to evolve, and there are tones of them. The best way to level up is to catch and release enough of them (you get extra candy when you release them) but keep one for every 12 candies you now have. Then if you've bought a DLC lucky egg (that doubles exp for half an hour) evolve all of them at once and bring in the big bucks! You also get eggs for free after around level 10.
