Bought a PS4 for this game. Worth it.

Can't play much due to college though, 1 month left until summer.

It is. I should have waited a week or so...a bundle with ps4 was made. Would have saved me $80

I have it, so far, so good. I'm up to a particular boss who keeps kicking my ass. Level 49 or so now.

I think I'm about 40% done with the game. Killed roughly....6 bosses i think? I'm level 65 or so. Only really been able to play a lot like 1 day since release though but I'm glad I can't rush through it; get to enjoy the experience :)

Only grinding I did was when I lost 50k souls, farmed about 75k immediately after. In return, i bumped my insight to 40 so now it's even harder (known thresholds are 15 and 40). at 40, enemies respawn after you kill them lol. Happened at least 2 times while I was clearing an area. It's insanely fun.

I would suggest investing in Ludwigs holy blade when it's available. It's slower than the other weapons but the damage makes up for it (and I prefer attack speed over power in this game, but it staggers a lot of bigger enemies and the 2H r2 change has a long reach)

I just beat the game. My weapons of choice were threaded cane and ludwigs holy blade, I recently got the burial blade, which I might use once I've upgraded it a bit. I'm doing chalice dungeons now.
Ending spoiler:

I forgot to eat the 3 umbilical cord pieces to fight the optional final boss ;_;

Seems like it lacks in some content, but i definitly enjoyed it, still am actually, the biggest drawback for me was the lack of weapon variaty.
