No idea. They said no sailing, and ports came out as a minigame. They say there's actually 2 planned. Wonder what they can be.

I heard its going to be related to crafting and that it would involve repairing things (maybe degradeable armor/weapons) though it sounds like just a rumor - and I would hope they would come up with something completely new, and not squeeze out another crappy skill.

I'd assume some kind of miscellaneous skill. I see no way they can max out combat with another skill.

squeal of fortunening and solomoning,

They said the 2 skills go together,
They said 1 is a gather skills and the other will be a craft.

so you gotta think what is there left to gather, idk maybe something new or something you will find on other mmorpg like Inscription/Enchanting/Archaeology or Engineering.

I am going out on a limb, but what about Archaeology? There is already a dig site in-game and the Pyramid Plunder minigame. I am wondering if they are planning this as a new skill that requires Dig Site completion to get started and somehow opens up newer and more grand dig sites and hidden areas of the Pyramids for exploration and excavating. I know it's probably not correct and would be a quasi-expansion of these existing things, but it could be good fun if implemented the right way.

I did like that lvl 85 armour came about with PoP for those who haven't the time, skill, or fat cash necessary to acquire Pernix, Virtus, or Torva gear, and that it is still attainable with patient tuition but able to be done solo and some of it non-tradeable. Perhaps a variety of old items that could be excavated that can be repaired with BOTH the proper Archaeology and other said skill (i.e. if you discovered an old Thieving implement, a comparable level in Thieving to repair, etc.) Who knows, I am looking forward to whatever it is. I like that there is so much to do in the game and even more is always welcome if not done to make the game worse e.g. SoF.

It will probably be non combat and will be borrowed from what most MORPGs, as shown with the EOC of becoming more like others.

If they make a whole skill and call it enchanting that would be just ridiculous. We already have the enchants in Magic, how the deuce can you make a whole skill out of a subcompartment of an existing skill? That would be like making a skill called Leatherworking. We already work leather with Crafting!
