I'd imagine there aren't too many players who are still active after a decade now. I'm quite anxious for this cape to release, but I still haven't come upon any solid information about it's release date. I was wondering if anyone else on here has any light they would like to shed on the subject.

Couldn't dig anything else up regarding that. I have been eagerly waiting for this cape. Will shame every other cape in the game. Hopefully within the next couple months we'll hear news about this.

Yeah, that's all I could find as well I wish Jagex would give us an update on it. In 2 days, it will mark the 10th year they began keeping member's records, so I'm just hoping that means it will be available soon.

I know it will be available sometime this year. That's the extent that all of us have known for the past year. I just want to know if I should expect it in the coming months, or sometime this Summer or Winter.

Jagex might just decide to launch it end of this year?? who knows haha.....im 8 years into playing runescape, 2 more years for me

If this is true then it would be logical to expect it next month since of course all of this month's updates are already planned. However if we don't see it next month then we can assume it has simply been delayed due to either development time or being pushed back to make way for other updates. As such, if we don't see it next month all bets are off and there's no way of telling which month of this year it'll be released.

I heard that they deem it a security threat for you to know the exact date you created your account... So it wouldn't surprise me if they delayed it several months. And had 'openings' where all the players who had their 10year anniversary over the last 6 months had 30 days to get the cape.

Then wait 6 more months. Open for 1. Wait 6. Open 1....

from what ive heard, when you try get the normal Veterans cape if you havent played for 5 years then it tells you how many days till you can gain it
so as far as security goes i think its a bit of a stretch... although ive heard the same thing

So here we are with April approaching, and still no further updates for the extended veteran cape. I guess all we can do is hope the April updates will include it's release.

I don't think they've forgotten. They're probably just holding off so it's available to more people as soon as it's released, for whatever Jagex logic.

You must pay $10 to get the X-Cape in addition to having the account for 10 years.

$100 for the cape with no time constraints.
