Controls - Money Pouch

The money pouch is where your wealth is stored. Any coins that you earn, find or loot will be placed here. You can choose to have the total amount of coins stored in your pouch displayed or hidden, simply click the money pouch icon to toggle the display.
You can still carry coins outside of your money pouch if you wish (or if your pouch is full!). To withdraw coins right click your money pouch and choose "withdraw".

The money pouch comes with a handy price checker that tells you the in-game value of an item. To get to the price checker, right click your money pouch and choose "price checker". You can then click any item in your inventory to get the price.
The "examine" option gives you an exact count of the money contained in the pouch. i.e. If you have 1000k in the pouch and press examine you could learn that you have 1,000,999 coins.

Note that any purchases will withdraw from your inventory first, then your money pouch. Also, when buying items from the Grand Exchange, the amount of coins necessary to cover the cost of the transaction need not be present in the Inventory: transactions can be made directly from the money pouch.

Death

Money kept in the pouch is safe from death, even when skulled. Any coins outside the pouch will be lost.

According to Runescape Wikia: 2,147,483,647 coins (Maximum amount of coins) that can be stored in money pouch.
