I am going to quit RuneScape; after 3/4 years and with 2023 Total i have decided my education is far more important.

I hope you understand that I'm a little skeptical about this being less "It's my time to quit" and more "That mistake of mine with losing my items out in clan wars just got me down".

lol less time working and slaving away at skills and more time enjoying games. i stopped playing few years back an d my high score dropped from top 2k to god only knows where now (i bet i am in the 20k's).


EDIT: wow i dropped from top 2k to 52k, lol 2 years = 50,000 people getting higher than me oooh noes the humanity!!

My main reasons:

6th Form work - There is far too much for any solid time of gaming.
Games- There have been like 10 AAA titles come out this year.
RuneScape - Doesn't interest me anymore.
Clan Wars thing - That was just an extra reason on top of all others, but i could just make the money back i lost in a month or 2.

Good choice n00b - This is the best time there's ever been to quit. I can imagine the people that are unhappy with the game or Jagex right now will regret not quitting sooner in a year or two with the way things are going at the moment.

As for myself some people might have noticed I've been inactive on RS for several months. This isn't a rare occurance since I usually come and go while switching between MMOs, however this time you shouldn't expect to see me back for at least another 8 months or so and that'll only happen if an update incredibly enthralls me, so it might be permanent. The only reason I was around for a bit a couple of months back was for Classic's swan song.

But you can bet I'll still be lurking around RV like I always do. We're a great community regardless of what Jagex thinks of us.

I understand where you are coming from, I took a much needed break to focus on my college and now I have gotten to a point where I think things will slow down some so I am getting back into things, good luck with everything and hope to see you back at some point soon.
