Well this is a very long and detailed answer that I -should- be giving, but I'll try and keep it short/simple.

I've found it to be fast levelling since I started back into it, but obviously there are issues about scale (I currently have 48 prestige, max F2P prestige is 35). So the short answer is it keeps getting faster until a certain point for F2P.

Do you mean inside or outside dungeon for f2p armor/weapons? If you mean outside, no they're not particularly good - although they would probably be very decent for f2p. Inside dungeon, again no they're not that good - but once again, you can't access better. Fractite generally does okay considering the monsters on f2p are a lot lower level than their P2P counterparts. I'd recommend binding a Fractite Spear (Seeing as you're F2P, you cannot use class rings - if you could, then it would be a 2h sword).

If you're f2p dungeoneering, try and keep your combat level under 90. There is an arbitrary cap that HALVES your xp once you hit 90 combat.

Yes, huge benefits from being on a team - but if you're lagging as bad as you said, then solo is probably best. 5:5 large floors are the best XP you can get, floor wise. The reasons for this magnify out as well. A large floor gives you a large base + prestige xp, which in turns generates a far larger xp boost in real terms (Say you get a total level mod of 125% on a floor where you get 1000 xp, or 100,000 xp. It's the same %, but I'd rather get 125,000 xp than 1250). You also get a % boost from having a dungeon at 5:5 compared to 1:1. It's not exactly fair, but there you go.

Quick fix, a party's level comes into play more than an individual's level. Level 120+ people can team with a level 3 to avoid this exp halving, for example.

Note that it can be worth rushing complexity-1 small floors to maximize your prestige before you start doing the massive two hour floors as Magicana has suggested. If you're playing solo, the max size floors will take you a very long time to get through.

I personally hate this skill. It has given repetitive and unoriginal a whole new meaning. Thankfully it's easy to level.

Well large floors are closer to 30 minutes for me now, but thats a good point.
