Ok, well this is just a question to DayZ players. Is it better to get the mod version of DayZ or the standalone. I heard the mod still has more things to do but the stand alone is reworked.

I assume that after a while, the mod will stop being worked on, so go with the standalone.

Oh man Jan, you just got zinged by Riptide. How much does THAT suck?

Well, statistically speaking, slightly more than a giant suckusaur. A dire one.

Yeah that's kind of what I was thinking, but I have no clue how long it will take the standalone to catch up to the mod. They don't even have vehicles in it yet so I was a bit worried it would be like the console version of minecraft trying to catch up to the pc version. If that makes any sense.

Considering how DayZ was (and I think is) top-selling on Steam, it'll catch up fast.

I had a look at Rust. It did not look as appealing as DayZ.

They are both very early Alpha. But DayZ still has millions of bugs.
There is a real survival aspect to Rust, where as on DayZ you just have to survive Fuzzy Bunny.

However all I want to do is survive while running and fighting zombies. So DayZ is more my taste. Rust didn't look bad, it just wasn't what I was looking for. :-k
