I doubt it will have a significant amount of new story, if any at all. Did Portal: Still Alive make any additions to the story?

Damnit, why did I not know this

I pretty much never played Portal again after I finished it the first time

Well, it wasn't really DLC. It was a re-release of Portal only on the Xbox 360, with 14 new challenges and some new achievements.

Oh, that would explain it

There wouldn't really be any room for more story, anyhow. She wakes up outside, and then slips into her coma-stasis state thing and then wakes up in the bedroom in Portal 2. Not much room for added story there. Not much room. Yet, I doubt there could be anything in-between that time frame. Unless it shows her dreaming about doing added lab tests or something, but that would be silly.
Ha ha.

Laugh with me.

Ha ha.

Well no of course not, I wouldn't want a prequel to Portal 2

Besides, the comic that was made by Valve shows exactly what happened after she escaped in Portal 1 and how she ends up back in stasis

Hidden:
I'd like a sequel to Portal 2, for instance Chell could go back to free all the humans that you discover at the end of the multi player campaign, it would be pretty cool to sneak into the facility, I'm not quite sure how she'd acquire her portal gun, but I'm sure there's a way
One of the developers hinted in an interview that at the end of Portal 2, GLaDOS may have lied about deleting Caroline, but I'm not sure why she'd do that
I do not think however, that they should introduce a new main character or tell new stories, it would take away from what makes Portal so great

I've wondered about that purely because of the ending credits.

"She was a lot like you
...
Now little Caroline is in here too
...
Goodbye my only friend
...
Well you have been replaced
I don't need anyone now
When I delete you maybe
I'll stop feeling so bad"

...Implies that the deletion hasn't actually happened yet (at least in my eyes), even though the rest of the song makes it clear that Want You Gone takes place after the end of the game.

Yeah, I wondered about that too

I just don't know how serious to take a song like that, maybe it's just there for fun, and we shouldn't take the lyrics as canon

That's true...things get confusing if you take Still Alive as canon, as GLaDOS was quite clearly dead! Along with that "I'm not even angry" bit when she actually was. You monster.

My roommate and I beat it the day it came out. I loved it; the humor is so much more surreal/bizarre this time around, especially the CEO's voiceovers. Portal wins at subtleties.

Let's look over those lyrics one more time...

I'm not even angry.
I'm being so sincere right now.
Even though you broke my heart.
And killed me.
And tore me to pieces.
And threw every piece into a fire.
As they burned it hurt because I was so happy for you!

I think she was being sarcastic. Just a little bit.

But still, she was singing this from beyond the grave, so I don't think we should take the credits songs too literally

I thought the entire point of that song was that she wasn't dead, but still alive?

Well... yes

But as you can see, she wasn't really conscious until we flipped the switch in Portal 2

So she couldn't have technically sang that song after Portal 1

We are overthinking this too much, or at least I am

Maybe she was singing that to herself while in a dormant state? Maybe she's reminding herself that she's still alive. She does state that some minor processes are running during her "downtime." Remember the little black box?

Bested single player finally. Amazing game, loved how they did everything.

Anyone still need to do co-op?

I beat co-op. If anyone hasn't tried it yet, do it. It's totally awesome. And there's more dark humor in co-op than than the actual campaign. Mainly toward humans. Because we apparently suck.
Apparently.

I've only played it once so my memory is a bit fuzzy but a ton of the quotes were great.

I like that at one point, she's listing a random list of numbers to one of you, but giving the other one some secret message, it's probably done for the other player at some point as well
