Same here.. I have another account that I created around 2003 called Free as a truck that I never really played. It's probably a 9hp character too. Can't remember the password but I've sent in a "Recover Your Password" request with some information. You should try it as well since there are more questions they ask you about the account besides the password.

I have quite a few accounts that would qualify for this sort of thing (some with bunny ears and/or scythe). However, most of them have remained on free to play. Only just late last year did I get membership for one of them. I'm just as anxious as you are!

Mod Chris L, who stands behind the Capes of Distinction, is currently busy with the upcoming combat rework.
This leads me to believe he won't really have time to work on the 10 year cape until a few months after the combat rework is implemented.

Since the combat rework beta is planned to run at least until mid September, it might take a while before we get to see this cape.

It also sucks because it means more people will be eligible for the cape, and it won't be as awesome. If it has to wait until 2013, it'll really suck because 2003-04 was when RS was really gaining a lot of popularity. It was still relatively unknown in 01-02.

The combat system DOES INDEED require a lot of attention from all Jagex staff members I'm sure. However... this is no excuse for not having the 10 year cape released by now. For anyone who qualifies for it, you already know that last year, the 5 year cape released in May. With that release, a notice stating that a 10 year cape would be created about a year after the 5 year cape. It's seems Jagex is ignoring the people's voice, surprise surprise. As far as I know, I don't think any fan suggested any of the crappy updates they've given us the past 2 months. In fact, the 10 year cape seems to be the most anticipated and talked about update on virtually every forum, including Jagex's own. I understand the game needs to be carefully monitored, but 1 thing makes me truly angry at Jagex, and I think I can speak for several when I say it. Who decided it was a good choice to release a Cape of Validation last month? Obviously, Jagex had the time to sit down and make something like this, so why wasn't it the 10 year cape like the RuneWiki says it should have been?

5:30 into the video they mention the 10year cape. Apparently they are releasing it a few months after July according to Mod Chihiro .

7:37 into it they show concept art of the cape as well.

Yeah, it's quite disappointing. I think they are more focused on the emote rather then cape design. That emote better be amazing.

EDIT: Cape is going to be released this month according to the behind the scenes!

This game is dead to me but I still look forward to seeing what the emote is. Had I still been playing, I'd have to wait just over a year until I could get one (for Muscular Ape) and slightly less than a year for my first character.
