You may have a disease. Use a cure potion or a shrine.

There's also a bug that if you once had a disease, and have since cured it, some people still talk to you as if you still have it. Even if it is gone, for all intents and purposes. For me, the damn woman at the alchemy shop in Whiterun always says something about yellow fever to me. And the old lady in Windhelm (?) always says something about the rattles. :?:

In other news, I have every. single. word.

Not much left in Skyrim for me to do but dick around with some side quests. :?

Because you contracted a disease. Check it out under Magic > Active Effects. Diseases are cured at shrines.

That's because she's an alchemist, and is trying to sell you a cure disease poison. She does it regardless if you have/had a disease. It's an intentional thing.

You're a dick... I can't get all the words for some reason, and it's SUPER DUMB. I haven't played Skyrim in over two weeks I believe... I don't want to do all the Daedric quests on another character just to get the ONE I can't get on my first one.

There's a Talos shrine in Whiterun, near the Jorrvaskr. Should cure all diseases, if I remember correctly.

Thanks for the response, it turned out to be Ataxia which makes pickpocketing and lock picking 25% harder.

Now why would I do that when my main character is perfectly capable of doing everything himself? :?: Seriously...100 one and two hand weapons, 100 light and heavy armor, 100 enchanting, 100 smithing, 90+ sneak and lockpick, 70+ block, 50+ conjuring and pickpocketing. Bout 2/3 of the way to level 60. :awesome:

Working on the others. Currently in full mage getup. 8) Though I do really want to create a mage exclusive character, or even a melee exclusive one. My primary save has many perk points spread thin for trophy retrieval, like points in pickpocket and whatnot when I don't really like or care to pickpocket.

I don't think so. Maybe the old woman, but the wench in Whiterun always comments as if I have the disease. Like she literally says that I look pale and that she can cure my rockjoint or something, when I promise you I have no such thing. :?:

Just as I cured my werewolf-ness and the game is still counting the passing days as "days I spent as a werewolf".

Also, is anyone else (ps3 especially) still experiencing noticeable lag after playing for awhile? Because I am. And YES, I have the latest version of the game.

This is only the hundredth edit I've done to this post...

I've made my new set of armor. Currently sitting at 966 armor with full daedric (with the Konahrik mask). I have EVERY heavy armor perk (including all 5 levels of the first one) except the one for reflect damage. Enchantments are: Health regen of 35% and +70 health on armor, carry capacity+42 and one hand +45% on boots, magicka+70 and one hand+45% on gauntlets, health+70 and magic resist+20% on shield, konahrik has an enchantment that has a chance to damage nearby enemies and heal the wearer when health is low. Have a ring with same enchantments as armor and an amulet with 45% one hand damage with +70 health. My weapon is a Deadric sword set at 206 base damage, with +35 fire damage and +42 magicka damage (eat Fuzzy Bunny, mages).

BOSS setup, but I know I could do better as I only wore a +15% smith ring, +17% smith gauntlets, and +25% smith amulet. I also used potions for +50% smithing and +25% enchanting. I can enchant a helm as well as another ring and gaunts with 25% or more to smithing, I believe. I will also enchant that set to fortify alchemy as well, then I'll REALLY be rolling. There is also an item at the very tippy top of the throat of the world. It's an enchanted pickaxe, which raises smithing as well but according to sources it doesn't stack with other fortify smithing bonuses. I also want to redo my sword, perhaps spring for a mace or axe for added damage, though I like the speed. Will probably go for absorb health and fire damage.

I must be doing Smithing, Enchanting and Alchemy wrong...

I'm basically losing money on smithing (52 smithing, perks in steel, elven and advanced armours) and don't know the best way of getting it up quickly and making profit :/

Enchanting 29, nothing in the perks yet (been putting it on archery and sneaking mostly), but I don't really know much about how to get it up, other than destroying my items which have good enchantments (e.g. 15% to something) to forge crap items which have 8% of it with a Grand Soul Gem :/

Alchemy 35, one perk in Alchemist, I've made a few decent potions, but I also frequently fail at trying to make up new, exciting, valuable potions... but I could do with some help on where decent ingredients are too?

How important is Speech in all this too? Mine is 38, with two perks in Haggling, but I don't know a fast way of getting it up, and whether I should waste perks in it or in the other 3 things o.O

And I *would* use google or something, but my internet is awful and will frequently when browsing the wiki for all the different pages, whereas this is just one page to load and works better... thanks guys :)

I just got 100 Smithing (after 5 hours of gameplay of focusing on Smithing, i just made Iron Daggers because all the traders seem to have a lot of Iron Ingot's and Iron ore as well as Leather, with only a small loss.

Are Dragon spawns set to a certain location;

I killed 3 Blood Dragons in the space on 9 hours at the same place in Dawnstar; their bodies are mounting up near the Khajiit trader camp.

Yeah I've cured my werewolf-ness as well and it still counts as days I spent as a werewolf.

Also yes, the lag issue has never been fixed. And I have my doubts it ever will be because it stems from the PS3 itself being a massive pile of Fuzzy Bunny when it comes to memory. [1]

So you remember the hidden chest video I posted earlier? Turns out, those aren't "invisible." They're just below the ground. The one in Dawnstar was just close enough to the ground that you could reach it. There's a MASSIVE one underneath Farengar's desk in Dragonsreach. It has a bunch of spellbooks and soul gems. You need to use noclip to get to it though. These things are all over Skyrim.

Being a man who has 100 in two of the three skills mentioned, I'll help ya out!

But first, Alchemy. When training alchemy, the more expensive the potion you create, the more exp you get. The best potion to make is simply giant's toe+wheat. Other than that, invisibility and slow potions are both good ones as well. Just keep an eye on which potions you make are worth more money. Keep in mind if you find any equipment that fortifies alchemy, that would be great as well as it increases value which in turn, increases exp. It's also a good idea to make some if you like. Make a whole set, you can enchant a helm/gloves/ring/amulet all with fortify alchemy and then you'll be doing great. Even if it's a weak 8% per item at first, it makes a difference. I'm currently working on training mine up. Babette in the Dark Brotherhood is the master alchemist.

Smithing is easy, though I never did use it for making money. I just wanted dragon/daedric equipment. It's hard to make a profit with the lower levels, but you can make a nice living if you mine the ore yourself as I have said in previous post/s. Also make sure you keep any animal pelts you get to turn into leather/leather strips. And gold/silver is scarce, especially gold, but it's a fantastic way to get your smithing up. Especially if you save gems to make along with the jewelry, you can easily make several thousand gold or more from one mine's haul. Dwarven smithing is also very profitable as it's very easy to get hundreds of ingots from clearing on dwarven ruin. Remember that you can only get ingots from certain pieces of dwemer crap, like bent scrap metal, large decorative dwemer strut, etc. Solid dwemer metal is best as it yields 5 ingots when smelted. It's also a great idea to enchant the equipment you make to make an even bigger profit. Also keep in mind that upgrading your armor/weapons once already made can increase their value a lot. The guy at the skyforge is the master smith, and I used him to the fullest. Take advantage of training. Also take advantage of bonuses to skill leveling, such as the Lady stone and the thief, warrior, and mage stone, respectively. The Lady grants 15% faster learning to all skills while the warrior, thief, and mage grant 20% to skills only in their respective schools. (enchanting and alchemy being Mage, smithing being warrior). Also remember the well rested bonus from sleeping in a bed you own. Gives you a 10% (I believe) bonus to learning skills. 5% bonus for sleeping in a public bed like in the companions or something.

Enchanting is easy as pie to level. Just keep on enchanting. Use every soul gem you have on every normal piece of equipment you can get your hands on. I could be wrong, but no matter what enchantment I was using or what type of soul gem, I got the same amount of exp per enchant. Just buy as many soul gems as possible (filled and unfilled) and fill the empty ones yourself with soul trap (great way to train conjuration as well) or use (or enchant) a weapon with soul trap for easy leveling. Also note filled gems, especially greater and grand, are worth good money too by themselves. I used the Mace of Molag Bal for a loooong time for this. You can begin this quest in Markarth when a guy comes up to you saying something about investigating a nearby house. Keep in mind certain enchantments are worth more. The one I remember most is banish on weapons is very valuable. Sneak is another valuable one. Just experiment with it. Not sure where/who the master enchanter is. I trained this very easily to 100 on my own, so yeah.

As far as speech goes, mine is in the 80s and most of that is from bartering. I have sank some points into the first perk as well as perks up to the investment one. It makes a huge difference in price, especially with the first perk in the skill for better prices.

Well that's incredibly Fuzzy Bunny...

My save actually went down about 2 MB in size once the big patch was released (from 13MB to about 11MB). And it hasn't been going back up in size. Which makes me wonder whether or not a new character would be ok in the long run for the lag issue.

Yeah. I've killed at least three in the college of winterhold courtyard, and at least 4 in solitude. Just happens that way I guess.

So yeah, where's the dragon priest shrine again? I have 4 masks now and I'd like to store them somewhere... Apparently it's in Labrynthion but I couldn't find it. Which leads me to another question: Are there one or two shouts in Labrynthion?

You make a new character to play a different role and style.

I have a heavy armor warrior using 1H (pretty much my pimped out guy), archer assassin, dagger assassin, pure mage, heavy armor mage, light armor warrior using 2H, and others with different quest lines. DB dead, did imperals instead of stormcloak civil war, etc.

Adds replayability, why wouldn't you want that :?:

Because I don't want to do the same Fuzzy Bunny (quests, etc) 7 times. :?: I'll probably do at least one more character, at least then I can choose to help the Stormcloaks as well as

to kill Paarthurnax and help the blades.
But seven or more accounts? Seems a bit much. Repetitive.

Check on the ground for a wooden mask in that dome-like room right in the center of the ruin. It's outdoors. There will be a skeleton on the ground along with a note or journal or something. When you put on the wooden mask you'll be transported 'into the past' when the room was whole, where the shrine is. There are also empty chests and stuff in there so it'd be a pretty wicked place to hide loot of any kind.

In labyrinthian there are three areas. Lost valkyg, shalidor's maze, and the place for the mages guild quest. The other shout word is in shalidor's maze. Be prepared for the maze, there are runes on the walls that require spells from a certain school to be cast on them so make sure you have at least on projectile/effect other spell from each school if/when you go in.

Is the lag crippling, Lander? I want to get this game (perhaps in a few months) and I think I want to play it on the PS3 so I can get another platinum trophy (instead of my PC.)

Repetitive.

So yeah, where's the dragon priest shrine again? I have 4 masks now and I'd like to store them somewhere... Apparently it's in Labrynthion but I couldn't find it. Which leads me to another question: Are there one or two shouts in Labrynthion?

Check on the ground for a wooden mask in that dome-like room right in the center of the ruin. It's outdoors. There will be a skeleton on the ground along with a note or journal or something. When you put on the wooden mask you'll be transported 'into the past' when the room was whole, where the shrine is. There are also empty chests and stuff in there so it'd be a pretty wicked place to hide loot of any kind.

In labyrinthian there are three areas. Lost valkyg, shalidor's maze, and the place for the mages guild quest. The other shout word is in shalidor's maze. Be prepared for the maze, there are runes on the walls that require spells from a certain school to be cast on them so make sure you have at least on projectile/effect other spell from each school if/when you go in.

school as in fire, frost and shock, or destruction, illusion, etc?
