What the biscuits. I can't get 1000 gamerscore on this character... A while ago I slaughtered a bunch of Orcs in their camp - for fun of course - and then it turns out that I need to talk to a few of them for the last Daedric artifact.

Hmm... I really should have kept that Skeleton key. Here's to hoping the items I've collected will carry over to my next character.

I think the trophy/achievement takes 15 artifacts, and aren't there 16 quests? I dunno. Also, if you haven't done Hircine's yet, there is apparently a way to get the savior's hide and the ring. Though this DID NOT work for me, it says it has been tested and proven to work on all platforms even after the big patch.

There are 16 artifacts yes, but one quest is no longer an option, and I returned the Skeleton key already, so I have 14.

I don't think I can go back and get Hircine's ring at this point, though I'll certainly check. Thanks for the tip.

Hmm. I'm unsure as to whether or not the key doesn't count since you had to give it back. The key to get both in Hircine's quest is to kill the hunters and receive the ring then go back and kill the werewolf, apparently receiving the hide as well. Both count.

The key is considered an artifact as far as I know, it just doesn't count toward my amount because I returned it.

And yeah, at this point I can't get the other. Oh well, time to start a new character.

That'd be like saying selling Dawnbreaker or something would remove it from the count. :?:

Which would be ridiculous. Though I've kept all my artifacts in case that's how it goes.

Yeah, it would be ridiculous, but it seems like that's how the achievement works, since I've collected - to my count - 15 artifacts at some point or another, with no achievement.

I'll just be sure to keep everything on this new character.

Starting character number 3. Redguard Barbarian/Necromancer is coming along very well. Now that I've got some conjuring heavy armor I have enough magicka that I can start using bound battleaxe. After I get this guy past level 50, I'll move onto pure mage so that I can have a feel for all the skills.

This game is far easier with a barbarian from what I've played so far. Most quests I don't use a single health potion because I don't take damage, and all the others I just resurrect lackeys to do my dirty work for me. Might have to crank the difficulty, which is something I don't typically do. Really miss the thrill of the hunt I got from my thief characters...

Henner, a thought just occured to me on the nature of our dragons-flying-backwards problem: You didn't start the dragon attacks until later in the game, and I intentionally held off on dragons for awhile (I waited until like level 25-ish). Maybe waiting to start dragons causes glitches?

The dragons flying backwards was a glitch introduced in the 1.2 patch. It is fixed in the 1.3 patch, which should be coming out soon.

I haven't run into it. I just get dragons who refuse to attack me and instead fight slaughterfish.

Those dragons certainly have noble goals, slaughterfish are a pest.

I've only seen one flying dragon so far, recently I've been having problems with skyrim completely crashing my ps3, it sucks.

Yeah, what's funny was I was doing a quest for the main story traveling with 2 buds when a blood & ancient dragon swopped down and proceeded to roast a group of slaughterfish in the water. Took them awhile because of the whole...fire does nothing to water part, eventually killing them and proceeding to kill every wildlife animal around me, and since I was working on "absorbing 20 dragon souls" trophy I was chasing after them. Eventually got the blood dragon as he landed and was fighting a cave bear. The ancient dragon finally targetted my companions but I had to save in the middle of the fight because chasing them drained all my time left before work. Don't worry though, he went down too :awesome:

I was doing the main quest because this kept happening, so I was forced to go get a certain shout to make them fight me.

Yeah that's what I meant. Horses can do practically everything apparently.

Also I'm kinda confused on the thieves guild quests...like the "number job" and the "fishing job" etc. Are they just random, repeating stuff from a pool of quests or are there a set amount you can do before you've done them all? I haven't had the same on twice yet and I've done at least 6 from a few but I'm expecting to go "heyyyy...I just did this" any second now. I know there's that achievement for getting the guild to it's former glory or whatever and I would assume if you do all of them from everyone (like 100 quests) then you would get it or whatever. I have no idea.

The key is to do 5 quests per the following holds: Whiterun, Markarth, Solitude, and Windhelm. If you get quests from Riften or anywhere else (unsure if you get any from anywhere else) quit them and get a new one, as those four cities are the only ones you need to do quests for. After doing five in one city, you'll get a 'radiant quest' which is a special quest that isn't just being a gopher. After you get THAT quest, you don't have to do any more in that city and can quit out of them. After you do all four 'radiant quests' you will have restored the thieve's guild to its previous glory. :awesome: I've finished Whiterun and Solitude so far, working on the other two. But yeah, it is a LOT of the same thing. It helps to change up the quest type so you don't get too bored.

And lol @ Alpr, normally when I have to fight a dragon in the wild they ally with any and every animal around to try to kick my ass. :?:

Ah sweet thanks. I keep doing the same quests over again in hopes of "finishing" them...guess I'll stop that...

And yeah the AI don't have a nice priority code built in. It's pretty much the first thing they see they go after.
Like if a troll is nearby and spots you and a dragon also spots you, they'll both go after you. Yet the dragon fights both you and the troll, yet the troll still attempts to fight you while being incinerated by dragon's breath. You end up killing both of them anyway.
True story.
