It's a series of gimmicky solo fights, some of which are ridiculously hard. Of note is the tier 2 boss fight where you're up against four enemies at once. I spent hours trying to get through and failed. They defeated all eight of my characters...

Haha I've just started it now. I love this sort of stuff Finished T1 with only one death but I'm out of tickets for now.

Did you try the T2 boss on Guard? Just did it then and didn't have any problems.

Don't think I'd go well doing it on other professions, though. Too squishy.

The final boss in T3 is insanely frustrating. 30+ attempts, no success.

Actually I got the ravenous crew on my ranger with judicious use of a shortbow and dodge buffs. I'm not touching the fight with Liadri with a ten-foot pole; I know what it entails, and I can't be bothered. I don't need to do it to finish the minimum requirements for that category anyway.

I think I had over 100 attempts and no success. I feel compelled to keep trying, but hopefully my brain wins out.

Well I cleared both categories without having to start a single fight with Liadri. That counts as a win in my book.

I ended up getting the rest of the Queen's Gauntlet achievements (besides the two Liadri ones) with thief. The five gambit one is doable on Deadeye Dunwell with a particular set-up.

Actually, I got Humble Victory via a bug but I'll take it, lol. It gave it to me even though I didn't have those two particular gambits on.

Will try Liadri again nearer to the end of the content when I feel the need to use up all my tickets I've come across...

No that's a pretty good description. I'm pretty sure they're purposely doing it before they release a big gold sink (ascended gear or T7 crafting mats that are coming in 2013)

Still, I'm not going to complain. I like the latest events although 30 minutes rather than 45 minutes would be nice.

Might as well get something out of this. These zone-wide invasion events are a difficult and confusing celebration of lag.

I am utterly at a loss as to why they decided to remove PvE culling entirely at the same time they introduced a type of event that causes literally hundreds of players to converge on the same three metre wide spot.

They don't cost *that* much. The cost is mostly getting to 500 in the craft discipline tbh, which is a pain in the ass mind you.

I'm talking about the price on everything else. Nearly everything on the trading post tripled in cost over the course of that Scarlet Sue update. The developers and a large contingency of players seem convinced that ascended weapons will magically reverse that.

Because, of course, it's been demonstrated that gear treadmills will objectively prevent the economy from going to hell in an MMO...
