PC/Mac/360/PS3. What system will you play it on? Those of you buying it for PS3 (like me) can also unlock the game on Steam for PC or Mac by linking your PSN and Steam accounts.

Portal is $9.99 on Steam, go buy it and play through it if you haven't already.

Also, if you pre-order Portal 2 on Steam right now, you'll got Portal for absolutely free.

Will be getting it on PS3, though. PS3 + Steamworks + Free copy on Steam = delicious

Well since accounts can be linked, I'll probably get it for PS3.

It's going to be difficult to wait for this game to drop in price. I can't justify spending the inevitable $65 on it, no matter how awesome it is. The first game was just too short.

Yup, and you can gift the free copy to a friend if you already have the game.

New singleplayer campaign is supposed to be three times as long and Co-Op two times as long as the original.

I will be getting this, this summer sometime when I actually have the time to give it the attention it deserves.

Just pre-ordered it through Amazon at the last minute for the Xbox 360. Seems like Amazon gives you the $20 back within the order now, because I only had $39 in previous "gift cards" and I didn't have to pay a dime.

Also, does anyone know why I only payed $3.50 in taxes? It seems like I should have payed either $5.40 (Washington is at 10% or so) or $0.00 because of the gift cards.

So, is it possible to play the multiplayer cross-platform?

Or can I only play with my friends that have it on their PC?

It's a cool thing to do, but they should've done it a week or two ago instead of a few days away from release

Agreed. But I believe they do that to make everyone buy the Potato Sack in a hurry, rather than a few weeks before to release the game TOO early. But, hey, that's capitalism for 'ya. Jerkish Valve.

According to Valve where I read somewhere, the campaign part is apparently (APPARENTLY) 4 times longer than the original. But that depends if you have the Aperture Science achievement, or Portal 2 is your first Valve game. I've beaten the original in like...2 hours in a super run-through. And I have The Orange Box and L4D, so I know how the mechanics work. And I would assume all you guys have had some other Valve game before. Judging from this, the single player won't take that long, but doesn't mean it's bad! Quality takes time, so Episode 3 better be worth it, too.
The multiplayer should be worthwhile considering the system linking. Oh, and you can upload custom maps from SDK if you're awesome enough to do that.

I'm a big fan of the fact that you can play cross-platform between PS3, Mac and PC - even though I won't be playing it on any of these systems.

Also, has anyone seen the video on Gamespot where they play through the first training bits? Looks pretty SWEET, and I love the 'ping' feature they've introduced.

@Ray, the single player campaign is supposed to be like 2x longer, and the multiplayer campaign another 2x the original.

I'm looking forward to this. A lot.

So that whole potato pack thing turned out to be a pretty useless thing (to us at least)

Bit lame

Other than the fact that it included a bunch of cool indie games for 75% off.
