Saw this before this article's publication. There is a lot of fiction about the future and going to mars. Does anyone think this is actually going to happen and be successful? Living there has been said to be impossible because of negative effects on human bodies.

Not terribly interested in a one-way trip, to be honest. It'll be really interesting to see how this goes even from a spectator's angle though.

Sounds like the adventure of a lifetime, hah. I certainly hope this is possible in 10 years.

According to a lot of news sources, this may be possible in 10 years. I wouldn't want to be a part of this though. I'd like to stay on Earth and not take risks for surviving there.

Hahaha sometimes I wish.

As for myself, I've grown to like this place. I would never consider going anywhere else permanently.

That would be interesting if we could. Not just volunteers going there.

Only thing stopping me is the lack of a high speed internet connection.

How would I play FFXIV???

If I didn't have friends and family, if I were alone, I would've applied as well. I think this will be a huge adventure and these people will be the modern day pioneers. I won't go as I have much to live for here, but if I didn't I definitely would have want to go.

I hope they'll be able to do this within 10-15 years as I think it's really cool 8)
