Pretty awesome! Do you have plans to travel and continue this? You should take a trip up here to Alaska if so.. There's quite a few spots you'd appreciate photographing.

That's exactly what I want to do! However, I don't have any plans yet, I need to be able to make money from it or have some money saved up!

Would it be difficult to make some income doing it freelance? Have you made any money so far? I have a friend from back home who does photography sessions for family shoots, weddings, etc and he seems to pick up a bit of work. If I recall, he was charging $80 for an unlimited amount of time for as big a group/family as you want for Thanksgiving. Can't recall what his normal prices are, though.. Maybe you should consider something like that for a bit of side income to put towards your hobby.. Seems like you have a nack for it.

I wouldn't say difficult, it's certainly difficult to come up with pricing but I'm glad you told me how much your friend charges. I know everyone is different but it's nice to see how much other people are charging and how customers react. I'm trying to do it on the side here, just need to get some business cards going and get my name out there :^_^:

And thank you Jaron! I'm trying to get out and take pictures more often because I'm enjoying it much more than film so far!

Might wanna put a spoiler tag on there, but nice pictures, man. What's the camera?

I tried to get into some photography a couple years back, but I have really unsteady hands. Everything turned out blurry. ;-;

Oh man Jan, you just got zinged by Riptide. How much does THAT suck?

Well, statistically speaking, slightly more than a giant suckusaur. A dire one.

What's the spoiler tag for?

I use a Canon T2i Rebel. If the shots were blurry then you just need to lower your exposure time! (also known as shutter speed)

Bonjour.

Will hide you images unless someone clicks on it. It's useful for not making the page expand to like a bajillion feet across your screen.

Huh. I might just go out and try that. Thanks.

Are you talking about not getting enough light? If you're trying to do photography at night then you need long exposure times and a tripod. For sunrises and sunsets like the sunrise in the picture you quoted, there is more than enough light. I took that 3 years ago so I don't exactly remember, but it looks like an aperture between F6-8 and a fast shutter speed / exposure time. Anything involving the sun provides more than enough light. Keep your ISO down at 100 to alleviate that noise grain (once again, plenty of light, no need for a higher ISO).

Let me know if you have further questions!
