So i'm having a problem with the GOM player. Sound is on at 100% for the player and for my computer it is definitely working. But there is no audio. I uninstalled and installed it again and that did not fix the problem. Does anyone know a solution and if not recommend a better player if there is a good free one?

It really depends on what suits you best. There's plenty of alternatives out there, find one and see if it suits your needs. My personal recommendations are VLC and iTunes, but that's just me. VLC will play pretty much anything, but it does have issues with "libraries". iTunes has the opposite problem. Foobar IIRC is predominantly a music player, WinAmp is dead, and WMP is WMP...
