Went to the doctors earlier because my face looks like I've had a stroke. I've got Bell's Palsy and my face might not have complete function for a few months. How right?

Well I'm hoping it doesn't progress any further than being unable to use the right side of my face.
Eating is an absolute bitch at the moment, having to manually move my bottom jaw with my hand other wise I cramp up.
I also drink like a lunatic having to stick my lips to one side to get a solid seal.

My oldest brother had it too, and he recovered from it. Catching it early is the key to not having permanent damage, apparently. Get well soon.

Catching it early helps. But rehab is key. Learn to move those muscles before permanent damage is done!
My brother had it as well, and it affected him for a few weeks.

Yeah I have a friend who had it too. The bad part doesn't last too long. Symptoms may linger on for a few months, but they're usually pretty manageable and don't leave any permanent damage.

Enjoy therapy and steroids (probably Prednisone) for 30-60 days. It sucks, a buddy had it. More scarey and embarrassing than anything else.

I came off steroids on Saturday, which was also a day I was doing some acting for TV, fortunately my face has a bit more movement. But having to tell the camera guys that I actually have a good side felt a bit snobbish.
