Retro giant boombox vehicle was listed on Craigslist



A 24-foot long vehicle, made up as a giant boombox has sold for $13,500 on US listing site Craigslist.
The frame was been built on a one ton automatic dodge van and the owner claims it can carry up to 50 people. It boasts exterior LEDs, a 37-foot antennae, and even moving dials.

Burning Man is a week-long annual event held in the Black Rock Desert in northern Nevada, United States and this year takes place from August 26 - September 2nd.



The build features a Mackie fussion top, two Mackie fussion 18" subs, one Mackie SRM 450 monitor and two Pioneer DCJ 1000's.

Burning Man is listed as a commerce-free event and there are only two things sold in Black Rock City: coffee and ice. Guests have to bring all supplies, food, water and tools to survive in a harsh environment and are expected to trade with other guests to secure other items.

Conditions in the Black Rock Desert, Nevada can be extreme at times and temperatures have been known to exceed 100 degrees fahrenheit and fall below freezing at night.

Tickets vary in price greatly for the event, dependent on the income of those applying for them and whether they've attended previously. Ticket prices range from $190 to $650.
