 Post subject: Removing a virus that replaces a file?

Getting something called "win64/patched.a" on an AVG scan which says that it can;t remove it because it replaces something that can be important. The object name is C:\windows\system32\services.exe
Any idea on figuring out what to recover before deleting this?
