Beautiful! I would love to go hiking around there!

Great shots you got too! You got a knack for taking photos.

try the edit button on the end of the original post next to the quote button on the far right hand side. Should clear things up, otherwise ask a mod.

For now I live with a couple friends in calgary, alberta, canada. I moved into the city to attend school and will stay here until I have saved up for a house of my own! Then I will move back home(about 45 minute drive outside of calgary haha not to far of a move). I have signed up for the village locator. Although work takes me out of town frequently.

These pictures were taken 3 miles west and 1.5miles north of edson, alberta. Edson is west of edmonton, and edson is about 5hr drive north and west of calgary.

I was just curious where that was... it has sort of a "North Woods" look to it...

Well your right!! Its a ways to the north. If I had to guess, I would say its about an 11 hour drive away from the canada/us boarder.

After I have a little bit of money saved up I will invest in a camera and take some nice pictures during all my travels!

Was gonna say "Hey, looks like you work in Oregon," but then I read that you work in Alberta.

Which is pretty much the same place.

Nice pictures. :^_^:

Water looks kind of blurry or frozen. Maybe its just the camera.

yup!
we get called out to the location of the job. and that takes me all over the province, and sometimes out of alberta and into saskatchewan or british columbia.
once i get a camera of my own i will take a bunch more pictures and will be able to share some of those good ones with everyone!

this second set of pictures were taken with the camera on my phone. i am fully aware of the 'quality'. i am still saving for a good camera as i pay off my student debts!

these pictures were taken today. i was standing JUST inside Canada =]
this is the 49th parallel. it is the boundary that divides Canada from the United States and it has been cleared.
i am about 400m west of Kingsgate boarder crossing.

Image
Canada is on the left here. and the US is on the right!

pretty steep county you're in there.. nice scenes, but i would have thought it would be cleared a bit wider so that you canadians would have a clear field-of-fire to keep americans from polluting your country...

hahaha should i work on widening it myself?

i would but the americans around those parts(the black/green ones) seem to be far to edgy. they really should just relax a bit lol
one day, a helicopter landed near my boss and a group of those black/green people got out. they wanted to know what he was up to as he neared the boarder.
